Five finger stone

Meizhou five finger stone is mainly composed of five finger like Baoding stone (thumb), Luohan stone (index finger), Tianzhu stone (middle finger), Jianglong stone (ring finger) and Baogai stone (end finger). The relative height difference between them and the ground is more than 250 meters, which is actually the center of the red bed basin. The red beds of Danxia Landform in Wuzhishi are basically horizontal bedding. Due to the development of vertical joints, under the long-term strong water erosion and gravity collapse, a typical Danxia landform with steep mountain, developed joints, deep rocks and deep caves, and magnificent appearance has been formed. Because of the dense vegetation, Shifeng is more beautiful.

Five finger stone

Wuzhishi, a provincial scenic spot in Pingyuan, is located in Chagan Town, Pingyuan County, at the junction of Guangdong, Jiangxi and Fujian provinces. It has gathered four landscapes of "Danxia landform, forest ecology, cultural relics and wonders of the way of heaven", with the characteristics of majestic, dangerous, strange, beautiful, secluded and ancient. In 1992, it was identified as one of the "National Natural Tourism Landscapes" by the National Tourism Administration; in 1999, it was identified as "provincial tourist attractions" by the provincial tourism administration; in March of the same year, it was approved as "provincial scenic spots" by the people's Government of Guangdong Province; in September 2000, it was identified as "a good place for leisure and vacation in Guangdong Province" by the provincial tourism administration.

Development history

Looking at Wuzhishi from a distance, the cliff is precipitous. It is shaped like an extended Wuzhishi. It rises from the ground and pierces the sky, so it is called Wuzhishi.

At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Yujian, the ninth grandson of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of Ming Dynasty, was established as emperor by Zheng Zhilong and others. Xie Zhiliang and Xie shangkui, the chief soldiers of Taiyuan, were ordered to set up a base in Wuzhishi to fight against Qing Dynasty and restore Ming Dynasty for 16 years. Finally, they were surrounded and defeated by the soldiers of HuiFu, Chaofu, Tingfu and Ganfu. These stone tables and benches are the symbolic throne of emperor Longwu. The Hunyuan pagoda on the side of his highness was built by the monks of Shilin temple to commemorate the dead soldiers at that time. It is still on the top of the tomb.

The highest peak of Wuzhi is more than 460 meters above sea level. Wuzhishi has rich and unique natural and cultural landscape resources. There are more than 60 scenic spots in the scenic area, such as "five wonders" (strange stones, vines, cracks, trees and caves), "Eight Sights" (Jianmen, Shilin temple, Congming spring, Hunyuan tower, yixiantian, Xianren bed, Longwu hall and Qingyun Road), and tranquil residence, butterfly Valley and ecological paradise. Wuzhishi is rich in wild animal and plant resources. There are more than 1000 kinds of higher plants, more than 200 genera and 70 families, and more than 30 kinds of wild animals. Wuzhishi has a subtropical monsoon climate. It is not cold in spring, not hot in summer, not dry in autumn and not cold in winter. It has a long tourism season, strange mountains and scenery, and clear forests and springs. Therefore, it has the beauty of "being smart and beautiful in the world, and not being dry and small in Guilin". Lu Zhixian, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of culture of the people's Republic of China, visited Wuzhishi and wrote an inscription praising "wuzhijing, a fairyland on earth", which is a new tourist attraction in southern Guangdong.

Wuzhishi is a remnant vein of Wuyishan extending into Guangdong Province. Its geological structure belongs to lacustrine clastic sedimentary rocks developed in the middle and late Cretaceous. Its lithology is mainly brown and brownish red glutenite and siltstone, followed by sand shale.

Famous landscape

The wise spring and the stone crack grow vines. "The spring of wisdom is not easy, but the spring of immortality from nine days. Drink a mouthful to add wisdom, drink three cups to prolong your life. This clear spring is the spring of wisdom. According to the records, Xie Shenyong, a young and slow man in Chagan Huyang village in the Qing Dynasty, went to Shilin library to study hard. After drinking this spring frequently, he made great progress in his literary thinking, and finally passed the examination of Qianlong Yichou Jinshi. A stone crack near the spring, nearly 50 meters long and only 0.5 meters wide, is called "modu crack". Tourists can only pass by sideways, but there is absolutely no danger. Through the stone, can sharpen people's will, experience the joy of hard work. The road of life is clear after grinding the belly. Guangaishi's Xingmao Guangai vine is 32 cm in diameter, and its branches and leaves cover half of the stone mountain. It is known as "the first vine in Lingnan". "In the first line of the eight sceneries, the lines are closely connected with the clouds. Teng Qifeng is beautiful, tourists are drunk, and the amusement here is better than the immortals. "The Stone Lane in front of us is a rare" one-line sky "landscape in China. Standing in the middle, looking back and forth, left and right, is a line of sky, which is really rare in the world.

Wuzhishi trestle Road: the first stage of the trestle road starts from the entrance of Guifei Valley, passes through the right side of the mountain wall to Wan'an village, then turns around the lion, builds a cable bridge to Yuming cave, and winds to bajiaowu and then to the orchard of the forest farm. The main construction contents of the project include 2900m trestle Road, 35m cable bridge, 1 glass viewing platform, 6 viewing platforms, 5 rest platforms, 1 management room and 600m footpath. The planned area is 15 mu, which has been opened in October 2013. The second phase of Zhandao project is under construction.

Cultural relics

There are many historical and cultural sites in Wuzhishi scenic area. There are many relics, such as Jianmen site, Shilin temple, which has a history of more than 300 years, Longwu Palace site, Hunyuan tower site and Luohan wall site.

Shilin temple. "The stone forest is a little high, and the baocha is stable in the peak", which shows us the five finger peak. The ancient building on the left is Shilin temple, which was founded in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. In the temple, there are "zhensi 3000 Jin" -- iron statue of Buddha, censer tripod and big bell each weighing 1000 Jin.

Wine urn stone and rice basket stone. It is said that in ancient times, the villagers lived a hard life. They thought of a good life with enough wine and food. When a fairy wandered around Wuzhishi, he was aware of the people's feelings and showed great kindness. He enlightened the two fairy stones and made the two stone mountains overflow with wine all day long. The villagers lived a happy life. For a long time, however, the mountain people became inert and the folk customs fell. When the immortal revisited Wuzhishi, he sighed deeply that "immortals can do wrong things", which makes the immortal stone become a huge stone mountain. There is no wine and no food any more, leaving a warning: "don't be intoxicated in life, never open wine urn stone; be considerate and virtuous, everyone should see Fanluo mountain.". The place where the fairy had a rest is called immortal stone, also called immortal bed.
