Xiaoyangkou scenic spot

During the Tiansheng period of the Northern Song Dynasty, Fan Zhongyan, who was then the salt officer of Xixi (now Dongtai), saw that the dyke had been abandoned for a long time, the tide was raging, the fertile land was alkalized, and the people were suffering. So he proposed to Zhang Lun, the governor of Taizhou, to rebuild the Haiyan. According to historical materials, Fan Zhongyan and tengzijing, the Jinshi of the same year, fought together to protect the sea weir. It was raining and snowing, the sea tide was surging, the soldiers were scattered, and more than 100 people were drowned. Fan Zhongyan, an on-the-spot inspector, worked with the people to control the flood. Later, after generations of renewal and extension, the six hundred mile long dike was built, which started from Funing in the north and went down to Qidong and Lvsi in the south. The common people called it "fan Gong dike".
