Around Beitou Park, where streams are murmuring and ancient trees are towering, there are lots of art and cultural sites. Yu Youren, the founder of the 1911 Revolution and the "sage of grass", the only remaining building in Taiwan, Meiting, is hidden in the scenery of Xiguang mountain. "Meiting" was built in the late 1930s, when it was the residence of senior Japanese officers during the Japanese occupation. The apartment is divided into upper and lower floors. The upper floor is a Japanese style wooden frame house. There used to be a hot spring bathhouse with a large number of French windows. The lower floor is a reinforced concrete air raid shelter. The backyard is covered with trees, elegant and gloomy, overlooking the Beitou River, with gurgling water. Since 1952, Yu Youren has often come here to avoid summer, longevity and switch. He was idle for many years after his death. In recent years, the Taipei municipal government has spent nearly NT $20 million on renovation and officially opened it to the public for free in early 2010. Among these exhibits, there are only two or three authentic works, and the rest are reproductions. However, Yu Lao's spirit and calligraphy are incisively and vividly expressed. In the courtyard of more than 800 square meters, there are more than ten camphor trees and banyan trees, and only two plum trees. They were planted by Mayor Hao Longbin and Yu Zhongling in January 2010. Although they are not conspicuous, they are green and healthy.
