Zhongyuan Giant Buddha Scenic Spot

The Grand Buddha of Central Plains is located in foquan Temple of Yaoshan mountain, Lushan County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. It is "the highest Buddhist statue in the world". The total height of the Buddha is 208 meters, the height is 108 meters, the height of lotus seat is 20 meters, the height of Vajra seat is 25 meters, and the height of Xumi seat is 55 meters. The eyes of the Buddha are 1.9 meters high, 3.9 meters wide, and the hands are 19 meters high, 9 meters wide and 5 meters thick. Zhongyuan Giant Buddha Scenic Spot is a national 5A scenic spot. The whole Buddha statue is made of 3300 tons of copper, 108 kg of gold and more than 15000 tons of special steel with a surface area of 11300 square meters. It is welded with 13300 copper plates. The Tianrui auspicious golden bell in the scenic spot weighs 116 tons net. It is the "world's largest external striking bronze cast bell" recorded in Guinness World Records. Master Xingyun, President of the world Buddhist Association and founder of Taiwan's Foguang mountain, inscribed the word "the world's first Central Plains Giant Buddha" for the Giant Buddha.

Take the shuttle bus to Yaoshan scenic spot at Lushan coach station opposite to Lushan railway station.

2. Take the train from provincial capital cities to Zhengzhou railway station, and then take Yaoshan bus to Zhengzhou south station or central station.
