According to historical records, Cao Cao welcomed Emperor Han to Xuchang during Jian'an period, and became prime minister. He took the emperor to order the princes, added Jiuxi and granted the title of Wei king. After Cao Pi usurped the Han Dynasty, Cao's mansion changed from Prime Minister's mansion to King's mansion and then to imperial palace.

From the front to the back, it is the "Hall of seeking talents" which reflects Cao Cao's knowledge and employment of people, the "meeting hall" which reflects Cao Cao's strategy and decisive victory, the "poetry building" which reflects Cao Cao's literary talent and life, and the large-scale relief sculptures and poems. In addition to statues, reliefs, characters and stories, new symbols and tools such as Woody pyrography, facial makeup, digital technology and three-dimensional images are also used in the scenic spots to let tourists feel and taste Cao Cao. The design of "seven step poem" and "eight beauties of Han Dynasty" can let tourists participate in and interact with each other.

The assembly hall mainly displays Cao Cao's political, economic and military achievements. Inside, there are silica gel statues of Cao Cao and his generals. The three story poem building is even more attractive. The first floor mainly shows the literary achievements of Cao Cao and Cao's three brothers, the second floor focuses on Jian'an Literature and Jian'an seven sons, and the third floor focuses on the most famous "eight beauties" in the Three Kingdoms period.
