Human history
Ancient tombs of the Western Zhou Dynasty
The Fangshan tombs of the ancient tombs of the Western Zhou Dynasty are the tombs of the nobles of the state of Cao from the Western Zhou Dynasty to the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period. According to the records of Dingtao County annals, "Fangshan is twelve Li northwest of the county. It is the burial ground of the ancient state of Cao. The soil is as high as a mountain. From Cao shuzhenduo to the 25th generation of Boyang, it is a temple." In addition, according to the Huanyu Ji quoted from the records of Caonan literature, it is also said that "the ancient burial ground of the state of Cao imitates the mountain." In the 11th century B.C., King Wu of Zhou destroyed Zhou of Shang Dynasty and established the slave owner Dynasty of Zhou Dynasty. In order to suppress the rebellion and slave uprising of the ruled clan and consolidate the slave owner's ruling power, he granted great titles to his family. "Cao shuzhenduo, the sixth son of King Wen of Zhou Dynasty, conquered the Shang Dynasty and was granted the title of Cao." Therefore, ancient Dingtao was the political, economic, cultural and military center of Cao state in the two Zhou dynasties. In order to show their economic strength and political power, the emperors of the past dynasties of the state of Cao tried their best to increase the sealing of the tombs, and gradually formed such a high mound, namely Fangshan. The existing stone inscriptions on Fangshan Mountain can also be used as evidence of this theory.
Ancient tombs of Han Dynasty
Fangshan tombs are also Han Dynasty tombs. Although there is no literature record, from the broken wall in the southwest of Dongshan, many Han Dynasty tombs with vertical caves, stone boxes and brick chambers have been exposed, and some cultural relics have been unearthed. Some tombs are as deep as five or six meters from the entrance to the bottom of the tomb, showing a large scale. According to the investigation, in Heze area, almost all the tombs of the Han Dynasty have been buried in both ancient cultural sites and ancient tombs, which may be related to the superstition and custom that burying by mountains and rivers can benefit future generations.
Relics of Ming and Qing Dynasties
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, temples were built on the top of the Fangshan tombs, and steles were erected to record events, such as the Jade Emperor's temple, baishen Pavilion, Shanmen, Guandi temple, etc. According to the records, the pavilion is "magnificent, with flying clouds and painted buildings", with the image of Lingdou; "green, yellow, Danzhu, few of them are from the world", which is very spectacular. At that time, the pines and cypresses covered the sky and the earth, and the pavilions and pavilions were hidden in it. It was quiet and simple, and there were endless tourists. In the fifth year of Daoguang reign, the inscriptions of baishendian, Yuhuangge and other temples recorded the beautiful scenery at that time: "the terrain of my pottery is flat, and there are no lofty mountains. It looks like a high hill, convex and concave, deep and beautiful. It's cloudy. The literati, who have been climbing to look at it, drinking and writing poems, imitate the mountains and consolidate the beautiful scenery.". Because of the war, the halls and pavilions were in disrepair, or collapsed, or demolished, and few of them were extant; the pines and cypresses were completely cut down; the inscriptions of the past dynasties were destroyed one after another.
Imitation Mountain Tourism
In order to better tap the culture of ancient Cao state, Dingtao County Government set up the Fangshan Tourism Development Zone, which used market means to raise funds and invested 260 million yuan for development and construction. In August 2005, Shandong Jinxiu Group invested and developed the first phase project of Fangshan tourist area, which is mainly based on Cao culture and religious culture. It took more than two years to renovate and reconstruct 11 temples in Fangshan. Fangshan tourist area covers an area of 4.6 square kilometers, and is divided into five phases: Taodu Shenyuan, Fanli Cultural Park, Wuhu paradise, shiwaitao village and taozhugong business district.
Cao Bo temple, which has just been completed, is built to commemorate Cao Shu Zhenduo, the first monarch of the state of Cao. In order to commemorate his merits, people of later generations will come here to worship him on the 27th, 28th and 29th day of the third lunar month every year, thus forming today's imitation mountain temple meeting.
With the development and promotion of Fangshan tourist area, in recent years, Cao family, who lives all over the world, has come to Fangshan to seek their roots. The monument of ancestor worship of the Cao family was erected at the Fangshan temple fair in 2006 when descendants of the Cao family from seven provinces, such as Hubei, Shandong, Henan and Anhui, came to worship their ancestors. Cao Zhongzhi, the 97 year old chairman of the Taipei Cao Zhongzhi foundation, came here this year to donate money to build a love Pavilion, calling on everyone to carry forward the fine tradition of love and help others.
While excavating the culture of the ancient state of Cao, Fangshan scenic area further expands its leisure and entertainment functions. On the east side of the original tombs of the ancient state of Cao, Fangshan lake, covering an area of 200 mu, has been presented to tourists. Boating lake, Millennium monuments and water color, skylight outlines a charming picture.
After years of development and construction, Fangshan tourism area has become a comprehensive cultural and ecological tourism area integrating leisure and vacation, suburban recreation, religious Range Rover and other tourism functions.
