Shihan Village

Shihan village is located in the high mountain basin between Limu mountain and Yinggeling mountain in Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, Hainan Province. With dense forest, winding streams and looming in the clouds, it has the reputation of "cold in the sky". There are more than 300 Miao people and more than 200 Li people living here. It used to be one of the most remote and poor villages in Qiongzhong.

In November 2017, Shihan village was awarded the fifth national civilized village.

On December 29, 2018, it was named the Sixth Batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress by the National People's commission.

Shihan village is located in Hongmao Town, more than 800 meters above sea level, hiding in the alpine basin between Limu mountain and Yinggeling mountain. Shihan village is one of the highest villages in the province. With dense forests, winding streams and villages looming in the clouds, it has the advantages of original ecological scenery and the reputation of "cold in the sky". The East, West and north sides of the village are natural forest reserves, with a total of 104000 mu. With mild climate and abundant rainfall, the nature reserve is a natural barrier for Shihan village, a paradise and a noisy and earthly place. According to measurement, the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the air here, known as "air vitamins", is no less than 40000 per cubic centimeter. Shihan village is suitable for living, health preservation, tourism and so on. It is a rare natural oxygen bar.

In 2013, "the most beautiful new tourism card of China" (the second quarter) was released in Beijing. Shihan village, Hongmao Town, Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, won the title of "the most beautiful Chinese village". Only 10 villages in China have won the award, and Shihan village is the only one selected in Hainan Province. In order to carry out the selection activity, the China Foreign Tourism Culture Association and the China culture and tourism industry alliance jointly formed the "beautiful China ten thousand mile tour organizing committee" with the support of hundreds of Chinese and foreign media. The organizing committee invited tourism and cultural experts and authoritative media representatives to interpret the representative elements of "beautiful China" in depth with professional vision, and conducted the selection. As of 2016, the planting area of Alpinia oxyphylla under forest in Shihan village has expanded from 300 mu in 2010 to 2200 mu, 7 times of 2010, generating 3.118 million yuan for the whole village and 2827 yuan per capita; in 2015, 1100 cases of beekeeping were developed, with an output of 16500 Jin and an output value of 1.65 million yuan; 35.2 mu of Dendrobium officinale was planted, with an income of 812500 yuan for farmers; high efficiency was introduced through land, labor and cooperation with enterprises For the planting of Dendrobium officinale in agriculture, 58 farmers have joined the cooperative to participate in the planting. A total of 30 mu of Dendrobium officinale has been planted, and three batches of Dendrobium officinale have been harvested, with an income of more than 300000 yuan.

Transportation

Taking the exit from the starting point of co construction village of Haiyu middle line to the entrance of the terminal point of Shihan village, the total length is 9 km. The original gravel road is reconstructed into a cement road. The construction standard is very low, with the widest part only 3.5 m and steep slope.

The convenience service center of Shihan village committee is a convenience service place set up by Hongmao Town Committee and government in response to the county Party committee and government's proposal to establish a service-oriented government, which is an extension of government affairs service center.

Since the implementation of the whole village poverty alleviation project in Shihan village in 2011, Party committees, government departments and all walks of life at all levels have invested more than 3 million yuan for the reconstruction of dilapidated buildings, road construction, cultural room, mobile signal transmitting tower and other public facilities and agricultural industry projects in Shihan Village.

In 2014, with the support of the county poverty Alleviation Office, Animal Husbandry Bureau, Hongmao town government and other units, the targeted poverty alleviation work was carried out in Shihan. 200 Camellia seedlings, 1050 Wenchang chickens, 210 geese seedlings, 41 boxes of bees were distributed to Shihan villagers, benefiting 28 farmers.

In 2013, the village has built 24 b & B rooms, 12 youth apartments, 10 daneidian inns and 3 Tent campsites, with a reception capacity of about 250 people. It has built two farmhouse hotels, lijiale and miaojiale. It has built more than 1 km bicycle greenway. It has invested 8 million yuan to build "bengenei" Li Miao style square in the open space near the cultural room of yuanmiao village.

In 2011, 36 dilapidated houses were rebuilt, 33 in 2012 and 15 in 2013.

History and culture

In addition to the natural advantages of the original ecological scenery, the Li and Miao people in Shihan village live together, and the degree of integration between the two nationalities is very rare. The rural leisure tourism of Shihan village with the characteristics of Li Miao culture is unique and fascinating. There are Li Miao ethnic culture, Li Miao traditional festival "March 3", Li Jin, Li Miao food, Li Miao song and dance and other rich national culture.
