Founded in 1983, it is a full-time private non academic "higher education institution". Since its establishment in 1983, it has set up: Chinese painting, oil painting, murals, book art, dyeing and weaving art, fashion design, ceramic art, film art design, makeup art, animation design, film poster design, etc. Under the warm support and guidance of the late honorary president Mr. Wu Zuoren (famous art master, vice chairman of China Federation of literary and art circles, chairman of China Artists Association, former president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts), Mr. Gu Yuan (famous painter, former president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts), and leaders and experts in the art field, More than 8000 students have been sent to the society. With the continuous expansion of the scale of our college, it has been highly praised by the society and widely concerned and praised by artists at home and abroad. Our school is run by experts. Mr. Liu Bosheng, President of our school, is a mural painter. In the early 1980s, he left the Central Academy of Arts and crafts to establish the Institute of Oriental culture and art. He is now the executive director of the international Chinese Artists Association.

The major of the university is four-year system and the major of self-taught examination is three-year system. After the completion of study, the students participate in the self-taught examination. The university organizes the students to take part in the self-taught examination of Beijing higher education. After passing all the courses specified in the professional examination plan, they can obtain the graduation certificate of national recognition degree issued by the self-taught examination committee of Beijing higher education. Students who take part in the school's professional study can obtain the certificate of completion issued by the school. Students who take part in the study and examination of international commercial art designers held by our college can obtain the "qualification certificate of international commercial art designers" issued by the International Association of commercial art designers and registered by the Ministry of labor and social security of the people's Republic of China. Teaching requirements: "solid foundation, wide range of subjects, strong ability, new thinking", emphasizing the comprehensiveness and systematicness of teaching, in order to adapt to the competition mechanism and the social trend of high standards and high quality. Our college regularly invites famous experts and professors to hold academic lectures to improve students' artistic accomplishment. Our college has sixteen departments and two teaching and research departments. The campus is located between the Central Academy of fine arts and the Academy of fine arts of Tsinghua University, close to Beijing Academy of fine arts and Chaoyang Park. With convenient transportation and quiet environment, it is the best place to study fine arts. Teaching equipment, facilities, teaching buildings, dormitories, classrooms with television and air conditioning equipment. There are library, computer room, voice classroom, photography darkroom, multimedia room, animation classroom, ladder classroom, gallery, auditorium, basketball court, football field.
