Founded in 1978, the staff college of China Academy of Engineering Physics (hereinafter referred to as the college) is an adult college approved by the Ministry of education and established by China Academy of Engineering Physics (hereinafter referred to as the college), the only strategic weapon development unit in China. Before 2004, he was mainly engaged in adult higher education. Approved by the Ministry of education in 2004, he mainly engaged in Higher Vocational and technical education. The college also undertakes the training of policy management, professional skills and occupational technical safety of the Chinese Academy of materials, and undertakes the training and qualification certification of eight kinds of special operations, including electrical operation, metal welding and thermal cutting operation, hazardous chemical operation, refrigeration operation and crane operation.

At present, the college has four departments: mechanical and electrical technology and automation, electronic and electrical technology and automation, computer science and technology, humanities and management science. It has four departments: numerical control technology application, mold design and manufacturing, mechanical manufacturing and automation, welding engineering and automation, mechatronics technology, electrical automation technology, electronic science and technology, computer science and technology, and computer application There are 14 majors in technology, chemical technology, reactor and accelerator operation and maintenance, environmental monitoring and governance technology, tourism and hotel management, and property management. At present, the college has 120 professional teachers, of which more than 46% have senior professional and technical positions, and more than 70% are "double qualified" teachers who combine theory and skills. At the same time, the college has also made full use of the talent resources of the college and established a virtual teaching team composed of famous experts and scholars of the college.

At present, the college has CNC machining center, traditional machining center, CAD / CAM laboratory, reverse engineering laboratory, motor drive, automatic control, maintenance electrician operation room, welding operation room, computer network laboratory and other experimental and training facilities. It has established cooperative relationship with Shanghai Mingde Learning Organization Research Institute, chemical materials research Institute of Chinese Academy of materials and Mianyang Fulin Group Property Management Co., Ltd The company, Changxing property company and other large enterprises and institutions signed agreements to set up chemical engineering and technology, property practice and other training bases.

The college adheres to the concept of taking professional quality education as the core and professional ability cultivation as the basis, and strives to cultivate high skilled talents with good professional quality and humanistic quality. It also actively explores and achieves good results in the aspects of "setting up training scheme according to students' professional tendency", "commercializing practice and training place", "changing professional education into vocational education". Since 2005, the teachers and students of the college have won a number of national and provincial skills competition awards. More than ten of them have won the "No.1 skilled scholar in Bashu", the "skilled star" in Sichuan Province, the "No.1 skilled scholar" in Mianyang City, the "skilled star" and the "skilled pacesetter".
