Xinjiang Uygur Medical College

Xinjiang Uygur medical college was officially approved by the State Education Commission in September 1989.

The school covers a total area of 66667 square meters and a building area of 19000 square meters. The school is taught in Uyghur language, offering two majors and 26 courses, of which 13 teaching materials for Uyghur medicine and medicine are compiled by famous experts organized by the school, and there is also a department of adult education.

At present, the school has 1248 teaching posts (including staff of Affiliated Hospital), 90 full-time teachers and part-time teachers, including 15 professors (including chief physician), 15 associate professors (including deputy chief physician), 30 lecturers (including chief physician) and 45 teaching assistants (including physician). The school has one teaching building and two experimental buildings, including seven laboratories, one electronic classroom, five specimen rooms and supporting Uighur medicine research room, a library with 250000 books and an outdoor stadium of 10320 square meters. There is an affiliated hospital, including internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, outpatient, emergency room and a medium-sized pharmaceutical factory. The hospital has 150 beds. The school also has staff dormitory, canteen, boiler room, bathroom, infirmary and other supporting logistics facilities. The campus is covered with trees, flowers and fruit trees, with a coverage rate of more than 90%.

Since the establishment of the University, seven graduates have taken up their jobs. More than 110 academic papers written by teachers and medical personnel have been read out at the regional and national academic conferences and published in relevant newspapers and magazines. The school has 132 teaching staff (including the staff of affiliated institutions). Among them, there are 73 full-time teachers, 7 with senior titles and 32 with intermediate titles.
