Hunan Art Vocational College

Hunan Art Vocational College (attached with Hunan Art School of technical secondary school) is located at the foot of the beautiful Yuelu Mountain. It is the only public art college in Hunan Province approved by Hunan Provincial People's government and supervised by Hunan Provincial Department of culture.

Founded in 1951, the college has a history of more than 50 years. It now has six departments of drama, music, dance, film and television, fine arts and social arts, and art training department and art practice department. It also has opera performance, music performance, dance performance, film and television performance, TV program production, computer music production, stage art design, character image design, environmental art design and production There are more than 20 majors in product modeling design, advertising design and production, broadcasting and hosting, editing and directing, film and television animation, tour guide, hotel management, etc. There are two or three-year junior colleges at the starting point of high school graduation, five-year junior colleges at the starting point of junior high school graduation, technical secondary schools from primary school to junior high school graduation, and adult education subjects. There are 2918 full-time students, including 1548 junior college students. There are more than 280 full-time teachers and 86 professional and technical personnel above the deputy high school. In addition, a large number of artists from seven art performance groups and art research institutes directly under the Hunan Provincial Department of culture have been employed to teach in the University. The teaching staff is strong.

For more than 50 years, the college adheres to the school running direction of "cultivating talents around the stage; relying on culture and facing the market", with distinctive school running characteristics, and has transported more than 10000 graduates for the society. They are welcomed and praised by the society and employers for their solid professional skills, high comprehensive quality and strong career migration ability, with a one-time employment rate of more than 96%. Most of these graduates are active in the fields of literature and art stage, film and television, fine arts, press and publication and art teaching inside and outside the province. Some of them have won the laurels of "Furong Award", "plum blossom Award" and "Wenhua Award"; some have become famous singers and film stars in China; some have become famous program hosts of central or local TV stations; some have gone abroad for development, Some of them have entered the cultural industry and become giants of cultural enterprises. Since the reform and opening up, Zhang Ye, Qu Ying, Huang Zhuo, Gan Ping, Wu Jun, Zeng yuan, Yan Danchen, Shu Gao, Lei Jia, Wang Lida, Zhao Liang and Xiao Qing have graduated from our college and gone to the whole country. The academy has a large number of stars, known as the cradle of artists and stars.

Hunan Vocational College of art has close ties and cooperation with art colleges at home and abroad. It is a reserve base for well-known colleges such as Central Academy of drama, Beijing Film Academy, Beijing Radio academy, Beijing Dance Academy, etc. Since 2003, the art training department of the college has set up the art examination center, which undertakes the vocal and instrumental level examinations of China Conservatory of music and China song and dance theater, and undertakes the national and provincial dance and calligraphy level examinations. With the continuous expansion of China's opening up to the outside world, the college goes abroad to carry out cultural and art exchange activities with foreign art colleges or non-governmental organizations, and receives visiting performances and cultural exchanges from foreign art education peers every year.
