Sichuan Tianyi college was founded in 1991. In 1994, with the approval of the former State Education Commission, it became one of the first batch of full-time private colleges and universities in China and the earliest one in Southwest China to recognize academic qualifications. In 2000, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial Department of education, it cooperated with Chengdu University of technology and Sichuan Normal University to run schools, and implemented Cross University undergraduate education for outstanding students. In 2000, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial Department of education, adult education was held independently. In 2002, recommended by the Embassy of the people's Republic of China in Australia and approved by the Ministry of education, it cooperated with Australia's HOLMESGLEN college to organize higher academic education and overseas study education in China and Australia, and enrolled students from all provinces and cities in China. With distinctive school running characteristics, the college advocates innovative school running thinking and implements a new school running mode. Under the efficient operation mechanism, scientific education concept and market demand orientation, the college has made remarkable achievements in the past ten years. It has cultivated a large number of qualified graduates with high political quality, good ideological and moral character, good academic achievements and strong comprehensive ability for the society. The college is located at No.116, Wenjing Road, Longquanyi District, Chengdu City, which is the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of Southwest China. It has two campuses, covering an area of more than 500 mu, and can accommodate 15000 people at the same time. It has perfect teaching equipment and living service facilities, high-grade computer rooms and more than 500 computers.
