Zhangjiajie College of Jishou University is an ordinary full-time undergraduate independent college established by Jishou University according to the new mechanism and new mode with the approval of Hunan Provincial Department of education, Hunan Provincial People's government and the confirmation of the Ministry of education in September 2002. The college is located in Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, a famous international tourist city. It has 2543 full-time undergraduates, 152 teaching staff, 800 Mu campus area, 80000 square meters building area, 160000 books in the library, and 14.65 million yuan teaching instruments. It is the only Chinese registered information security professionals (CISP) qualification certification training base and Zhangjiajie City in Hunan Province English and Korean training center.

Zhangjiajie College of Jishou University now has 20 majors, including English, tourism management, journalism, economics, computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, musicology and art design, covering five university disciplines, including economics, management, science, law and literature. In terms of education and teaching, the college relies on the existing disciplines and faculty of Jishou University, and employs famous experts and scholars at home and abroad all the year round. It learns from and adopts the advanced teaching management mode at home and abroad, integrates high-quality resources, innovates the school running mode, attaches importance to cultivating the comprehensive quality of students, and improves the quality of education and teaching.
