Tianjin traffic vocational education began in 1958. In 2002, Tianjin Communications vocational college was established with the approval of Tianjin Municipal People's government, which is subordinate to Tianjin Communications (Group) Co., Ltd. The college adheres to the specialty construction, closely around the needs of regional economy and industry development, and has opened 24 majors in five categories, including logistics, automobile, road and bridge, economic management, computer, etc. Among them, logistics management and automobile inspection and maintenance technology have been built into Tianjin Vocational College Teaching Reform Pilot specialty. All majors have set up a professional teaching steering committee with enterprise experts and technicians as the main body for talent cultivation. According to the "six in all" mode of school enterprise joint participation in specialty construction, joint formulation of training plan, joint undertaking of teaching tasks, joint construction of training base, joint construction of excellent courses and joint participation in student management, 56 order classes including Toyota, Tianhuan and Jintong have been set up.

The college attaches great importance to the construction of "double qualification" teaching staff, establishes "Dean Award Fund", and implements the management system of teacher enterprise practice. At present, there are 350 full-time teachers, including one national famous teacher (Professor Xue Wei), two Tianjin famous teachers, four professional leaders at the ministerial level, one national teaching team (logistics management professional teaching team) and two Tianjin municipal teaching teams. In accordance with the principle of "five in one", the college has built six on campus training centers, among which the logistics and automobile on campus training bases are the training base construction projects supported by the central financial incentives. At the same time, the college has carried out cooperation projects with a number of enterprises relying on the construction of training bases, and established Toyota t-tep school, DuPont automobile paint coating technology training center, Oubo engineering measurement training room, Wuqiang logistics storage and distribution training room, etc. At the same time, the college has established 148 solid off campus training bases.

The college also constantly explores the education and teaching management under the mode of combining work with study, adopts digital management means, forms a perfect teaching management system, and constructs a quality monitoring system of "two-level management and two-line monitoring". The college has established a teaching Advisory Committee and a teaching steering committee composed of industry and enterprise experts and relevant personnel of the college, as well as a teaching steering committee of various specialties, and has jointly carried out quality management and monitoring with cooperative enterprises.

In June 2010, the college undertook the modern logistics and automobile technology competition of the national vocational college skills competition (higher vocational group), during which the two open experience activities of "being a logistics person for one day" and "being an automobile doctor for one day" were widely recognized and highly praised by the leaders of the Ministry of education and all sectors of the society. In the competition, the college undertook the training task of Tianjin team. Our team won the first prize of modern logistics and automobile technology.

In recent years, the college's personnel training work has been fully recognized by the society. In 2010, the first employment rate of graduates reached 98. Many graduates have grown into technical directors and department managers of enterprises and become common resources of enterprises and colleges.

The college makes full use of its resource advantages, actively carries out technical services, cooperates with many enterprises in production and education, and carries out 31 technical consulting and services, which are fully affirmed by enterprises. The college has a first-class driver training base in Tianjin, undertakes the driving training task of "8890 employment project" of Tianjin municipal government and the automobile driving practice and training task of more than 20 college students.
