Evergreen erect shrub, 30-60 cm high. The roots are soft and plump. Stem covered with dark brown hairs when young, unbranched except for branches. Leaves alternate, oblong to elliptic lanceolate, 7-14 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide, apex short pointed or obtuse, base broad chess shaped, dark green above, bald, light green below, covered with dark brown hairs, with numerous black glandular dots, an obvious vein at the edge, and glands at the edge. Umbelliform inflorescence on 3-10 cm long, hairy, apex slightly curved branches; petiole 1-2 cm long; calyx hairy; corolla white inside, purple spots outside, lobes obtuse. Berries globose, dark red when ripe, about 6-8 mm in diameter. The flowering period is from June to September.
They like to live in deep mountains, forests or bushes. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi and other places.
