[source] it is the whole plant of Potamogeton fulvum.
[plant morphology] Potamogeton fulvum
Perennial herbs. Rhizomes prostrate, with red spots. Stem less branched. There are floating and submerged leaves, submerged leaves are usually petiolate, linear; floating leaves are elliptic or obovate, 4-8 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, apex obtuse, base heart-shaped or extending downward to petiole, petiole longer than leaf. Pedicel short; spike, cylindrical, with closely arranged flowers, yellow green; stamen 4: pistil 4. Small drupe.
Born in a pond or field. It is distributed in Northeast and Tibet.
[collection] harvest from August to October.
[flavor] sweet, slightly bitter, cool.
Functions and indications: antipyretic, diuretic, hemostatic, tonic, spleen strengthening, conjunctivitis. Toothache, edema, jaundice, hemorrhoids, ascariasis, dry blood tuberculosis, infantile malnutrition.
[usage and dosage] oral: decoction, 2-5 yuan.
