[plant morphology] Hemerocallis unifolia
Herbs perennial, 25-45 cm high. The base of the stem is inclined or erect, the stem is square, polygonal, axillary branched, purplish red, with short hairs. Leaves opposite, sometimes with 1 or 2-lobed leaflets; leaf blade obovate to longovate, 3-10 cm long, 2-6 cm wide, apex rounded to acuminate, obtuse, margin serrate, green above, dark red below, base heart-shaped; petiole 1-7 cm long, near inflorescence sessile. Cymose, terminal and axillary, 5-flowered, 4 mm in diameter; calyx campanulate, hairy, calyx teeth triangular, apex acuminate; corolla 2-lipped, upper part purplish red, lower part yellowish white; stamens 2-developed, stigma 2-lobed, all extending out of corolla. Nutlets ovate. The flowering period is May. The fruit period is from May to June.
Born in the mountains and wet places. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan.
