Writing background
When Andre was 14 years old, Long Yingtai left Europe to work in Taipei. When she left office and returned to her son, Andre was already an 18-year-old boy, sitting on the other side of the table, looking at his mother a little coldly. She felt that she had an invisible wall with her son: "where is my lovely Ann?" She felt that her son "loved" her, but did not "like" her. They are two generations, with a difference of 30 years in age; they are also two people, with eastern and Western cultures in the middle. It's OK to lose the little boy ANN, but she must know Andre, a college student. So the mother and son spent three years communicating with each other. In this way, they entered each other's life, world and soul by letter. Long Yingtai "met the first 18-year-old in his life", and Andre "met his mother for the first time".
