Political initiatives
According to the outline of the history of Jin State, the state of Jin moved its capital to Jiang at the time of marquis mu of Jin. Where did Marquis mu of Jin move to Jiang? Where is the first capital of Jin? Where is Jiang today? So far, it has been a big case. Historians can only draw a general outline based on the archaeological excavation in recent years: the earliest political center of Jin was near Yicheng, while Jiang may be located in the lower reaches of Huishui (today's Ma Qucun site). Yicheng is located in the highland under Taiyue Mountain, which is inconvenient in transportation. With the expansion of the territory of Jin, the political center gradually shifted to the flat and open downstream of Huishui River, which is also in line with the requirements of historical development and the actual situation at that time.
Anecdotes
As for the names given by Marquis mu of Jin for the two sons, Shifu, a doctor of Jin state at that time, once predicted: "it's strange that the king gave the names to the children! The prince is called Qiu, which means enemy. The younger son is called Chengshi. Chengshi is a big name, which means to achieve him. Names can be decided by themselves, but things have objective laws. Now the name of the legitimate son is just the opposite to that of the common son. Can there be no trouble in the state of Jin after that? " Later, as expected, civil strife took place in the state of Jin for decades.
