Tang Han

Bishop Tang Han was born in Hong Kong, China on July 31, 1939. He received a doctorate in theology from the Roman Catholic University in 1969 and a master of philosophy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1979.

He is the seventh Chinese cardinal in the history of the Catholic Church.

Life

Born at 8 Stanton street, central, Hong Kong, China, on July 31, 1939, Tang Han completed his primary school course in Guangzhou. According to Tang Han, he was deeply moved and determined to become a priest when he saw the priest helping the wounded soldiers and refugees.
