Gu Guangqi
Gu Guangqi (1766-1835), with the name of Qianli, was named Jianping and wumenzi. He was also named Sishi Jushi and yiyunsanren. He was a famous emendator, book collector and bibliographer in the Qing Dynasty. He was born in the 31st year of Qianlong reign of Emperor Gaozong and died in the 15th year of Daoguang reign of Emperor Xuanzong. Yuanhe is a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Together with sun Xingyan, Huang pilei and others, he was known as the great master of collation in the Qing Dynasty.

He studied in Jiangsheng, Wuxian County, Yingmin Bocha, Tongjing history primary school. Sun Xingyan, Zhang Dunren, Huang pilei, Hu Kejia, Qin Enfu and Wu Yi successively took charge of the engraving of books, all of which were written notes and confirmed the characters. Especially in bibliography, Wang Zhongbao and Ruan Xiaoxu were the most famous. He is like heaven and earth, and he can't be swept away. Try to punish Zicai's saying that "it's more appropriate to think about books in a day.". I think I'm a resident. Guangqi wrote eighteen volumes of sishizhai anthology, and another volume of Tun Weng Kui Kou was selected from the quotations of the early Confucianists. Biographies of the history of the Qing Dynasty were handed down to the world.
He proposed that the collation of ancient books should be "neither self deception nor Book deception, and keep its true face in order to spread it". The books that he has personally proofread are of high academic value. He lived in the classics and history, exegesis, calendar, geography, and other scholars. He was also proficient in bibliography. Some people compared him to Wang Jian and Ruan Xiaoxu. In his later years, he was employed by sun Xingyan, Zhang Dunren, Huang pilei, Hu Kejia, Qin Enfu and others to proofread Shuowen, Liji, Yili, Guoyu, ZhanGuoCe and Wenxuan. Gu Guangqi wrote ten volumes of Wenxuan Kaoyi for Hu Kejia, which are attached to the book.
All the books engraved by famous scholars vied with each other to employ him for collation. During the reign of Qianlong and Jiaqing, he and Lu Wenhuo dominated in the southeast. He also likes to collect books. He takes Xing Zicai's saying that "if you think about the wrong books every day, it's even more suitable", and the name of the library is "sishizhai". The book collection is printed with "thirty five generations of grandchildren of Chen Huangmen's servant", "Shi Si CuO Shu Yi Shi", "Qian Weng", "Gu Qianli Jing Yan Ji", "Gu Jianping's book collection", "thirty five generations of grandchildren of Chen Huangmen's servant" and "approved by Guangqi". He wrote the collection of sishizhai, recording the prefaces and postscripts of proofreading and engraving. In 1935, Wang Dalong compiled additional inscriptions and published four volumes of sishizhai shupostscript.
