Love and excellence

In August of the fifth year of Taihe (231), Cao Rui issued an imperial edict, saying that he had not seen all the princes for 12 years. He ordered all the princes and the princes of the clan to bring their own sons to Beijing to meet them. Character controversy
Controversy over the year of death
The biography of Cao Lin in the annals of the Three Kingdoms records that Cao Lin died in the first year of Jiaping (249), but the annals of the Three Kingdoms records that Cao Lin died on the first day of December in the second year of Jiaping (that is, the 27th day of that month, February 5, 251). Zizhitongjian adopts the theory of "three Shaodi Ji". Lu Bi also pointed out in the collection of the annals of the three kingdoms that the records in the annals of the three little emperors are accurate to the month and the day, which is more reliable.
About the boudoir
According to the biography of Cao Lin in the annals of the Three Kingdoms, Cao Lin had a rough temper and harmed the family members. Li Dongfang, a scholar, thinks that if the record is true, it may be one of the reasons why he failed to inherit the throne of Cao Rui. However, Li Dongfang questioned: "it's strange that the law governing the imperial clan in the Wei Dynasty was very strict. Even if the county officials were beaten, they would be punished, not to mention" maiming "the" maidservant concubines "? Why is there no record of Cao Lin being punished for this? "
