Life of the characters
Build a country by closing the territory
His great father Xiong Wenyi died very early. Xiong Yi's grandfather Xiong Li and father Xiong Kuang also served King Wu, the son of King Wen of Zhou. When King Cheng of Zhou, the son of King Wu of Zhou, was in power, he was deeply moved by the great achievements of the ministers in assisting the government during the period of King Wen and King Wu of Zhou, so he promoted their descendants and granted Xiong Yi, the great grandson of Xiong, a title of Viscount with only 50 li of land in the southern wilderness. He established the political power of Chu and lived in Danyang.
Stealing cattle from the state
According to the newly unearthed "Qinghua bamboo slips, Chu residence", when Xiong Yi, the leader of Chu tribe, was enfeoffed by King Cheng of Zhou, he moved to Danyang in yitun and built a ancestral temple for divination and sacrifice. After the temple house was built, there was no sacrifice for sacrifice. He had no way to steal a calf without horns, and was afraid that the owner of the calf would find it Come on, sacrifice after slaughtering all night. (see the data for details) according to the records in Guoyu, the ancient book of Zhou Dynasty, Xiong Yi, the king of Chu, and the leader of Xianbei were jointly responsible for "guarding Liao" in the alliance of the princes, which confirmed the poverty and weakness of MI Chu at the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China.
Opening up Jingshan
Xiong Yi was in the remote area of Jingshan (now the western part of Hubei Province and both sides of the Hanjiang River). He took a Chaiche and wore ragged clothes to open up clumps of weeds. He waded across mountains and rivers to serve the emperor of Zhou. He could only use peach bow and jujube arrow as tribute.
Assist King Kang
During the reign of King Kang of Zhou, Xiong Yi assisted King Kang of Zhou together with the monarch of Qi, Duke Ding of Qi, Duke Kang of Wei, Duke Xie of Jin, and Prince Boqin of Lu. Because Qi, Jin, Lu and Wei were closely related to the emperor of Zhou, they all got the treasures from King Kang of Zhou, but Chu had no relationship with the emperor of Zhou, so they didn't get the treasures.
Go to the next generation
After that, Xiong Yi died. After Xiong Yi's death, his son Xiong AI succeeded to the throne of Chu.
Political initiatives
Xiong Yi was granted the title of Nanman because of his ancestors. He established the state of Chu and became the first king of Chu.
