Wu Lin
The word Jiaxuan, zicui mountain Qiao, people. He is good at freehand brushwork with Zhou BA in Tongli. It can also cut basin, play and stack stone scenery, all of which have Ni and Huang's style. According to the collection of painting history of the past dynasties, it is said that "he wrote about the south of orchid Painting Institute (Zheng Sixiao), painted bamboo master Dongpo (Su Shi), got Ni and Huangfa in landscape painting, and was good at plum, bamboo and flowers." Wu Lin (1880-1971), a native of Datang Village, Guilin Township, was born into a family of old teachers. He studied in private school from his father at the age of 9, and was admitted to Jiujiang middle school at the age of 22. After graduation, he was the head of Chengdong primary school. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, he went down to Nanjing alone and joined six battalions and one sentry as a secretary. Later, he entered the Jiangshu military academy as a subordinate officer. At the end of the Republic of China, he returned to Li and taught in Tongpan primary school in Jiujiang. After that, he worked as a clerk of County Chamber of Commerce and county and municipal government. When the Anti Japanese war broke out, he fled to Yiyang, Hunan Province with his family. In June of 28, he took a detour to Taihe County, the seat of Jiangxi provincial government at that time, and served as a teacher of the provincial nursing school and Nanchang women's middle school. Thirty years later, because the eldest son Jianye was killed by the Kuomintang authorities, he resolutely left Taihe with his family. On the way, he was employed as a Chinese teacher in Yongxiu Gaonong middle school until the victory of Anti Japanese war. In June of 2006, he was still a teacher of Ruichang middle school. In May of the 38th year of the Republic of China, Ruichang was liberated and actively participated in various political activities. He was elected chairman of the county education trade union and vice chairman of Ruichang branch of Sino Soviet Friendship Association. In 1950, he was appointed principal of Ruichang middle school and elected people's representative of all walks of life in the county. He once presided over the fund-raising to repair the streets and highways of the county, and advocated the construction of urban waterways and dikes, which won the trust of the party and the people. Before the "Cultural Revolution", he was a full-time member of the county people's Committee and a member of the Jiangxi Provincial CPPCC. During the "Cultural Revolution", he was persecuted by the ultra left line and died on March 14, 1971. In 1979, the CPC Ruichang County Committee rehabilitated him.
