Career
In his early years, Zhao Zhixun was born into a very wealthy family in South Korea. His grandfather was once the president of a bank. But in the Korean War, the wealth of Zhao Zhixun's family was destroyed, so his family fell. Zhao Zhixun's father was advised by a fortune teller to change his name to Zhixun. At that time, the fortune teller warned that if his name was not changed, Zhao Zhixun would kill her mother. He also said that after the change, Zhao Zhixun would become famous, although his brother would die. All these predictions came true later.
Zhao Zhixun's grandfather thought that he had extraordinary talent, so he sent him to Japan for further study in 1962, and went to go school in Takeshi to learn go. Accompanied by his uncle Zhao nanzhe and his brother, he entered Japan from Tokyo International Airport in August 1962, when he was only six years old. Zhao Zhixun met with the couple at the airport and got to know kikushi's daughter, IKO kikui (later married his arch rival, Kobayashi Kobayashi). After arriving in Japan, Zhao Zhixun defeated Lin Haifeng (let the fifth Bureau) at the celebration held by the mukushi school (to celebrate the total number of mukushi sections reaching 100). At that time, many people concentrated on watching the game, as if enjoying a professional game.
Zhao Zhixun joined the Japanese Chess Academy as a student when he was 7 years old, and was abused because of his Korean identity. As a result, he began to feel troubled because he was a disciple of kikushi, and relaxed his study of go. Later, Kobayashi joined mukushi. Although he was not outstanding, he worked harder than Zhao Zhixun.
Early stage of promotion
Zhao Zhixun was promoted to the early stage of go in May 1968. At the age of 11 years and 10 months, he became the youngest professional chess player in the modern history of Japanese go. He was promoted to the second stage in the same year, and his future looks bright. It took Zhao Zhixun only two years to get to four stages, and he won almost all the big hand games. He became five in 1971, when he was only 15.
Zhao Zhixun's personal information was published in the weiqi overview and the Muhu Yearbook in 1972. Although he was a minor at that time, he was already a very famous figure. Although Zhao Zhixun won 30 games and lost only six in this year, he still lost to Kobayashi Kobayashi twice, respectively in the 4th new elite Championship (with TV broadcast) and the 16th premier Cup final. He had an excellent performance in the 9th professional top ten, defeated three top chess players, and only later lost to the then celebrity Lin Haifeng.
1973-1979
Zhao Zhixun won the championship in the 5th new elite championship, beating the then eight section of Yugen Taizheng. He kept a winning rate of 83.75% in the big hand match of more than five sections, and won the 10th place in the next professional top ten competition. Zhao Zhixun was promoted to six stages in 1973 with a score of 30-11.
His most important achievement in 1974 was that he won the right to participate in the 22nd Japan Chess Academy championship, especially when he just lost his qualification for the game of benyinfang. Later, he defeated Lin Haifeng, Shida fangfu and Kato Zhengfu in succession in the Japanese Chess Academy championship, and won a special merit award from kimono magazine for his 33-9 annual result.
Zhao Zhixun lost to ryuno Sakata in the final of the 22nd Japan Chess Academy Championship due to a serious mistake and only won the second place. The defeat also made him work harder in the 12th professional ten championship, and finally beat all his opponents to win the championship. This victory also made him the youngest champion in history. But later he lost to Shimura in the second round of the benyinfang war. Zhao Zhixun also entered the reincarnation of the first Tianyuan war, although he was later defeated by Kato. At the end of October at that time, he was promoted to seven sections, although the news of mugujin's death in that year hit him a lot. Even so, his record in 1975 was an excellent 39-16.
1976 was a new year for Zhao Zhixun. After losing his go tutor, he regained his spirits and achieved great success. He started the season by winning the first top 8 of Asahi. Then there was a major change in the game system of go. The professional top 10 and the top 8 Asahi games were no longer held, and were replaced by Jihad and celebrity wars. After the combination of the Japanese Chess Academy championship and the Kansai Chess Academy championship, the status of tianyuanzhan also improved. Zhao Zhixun was defeated in the 32nd benyinfang competition, and was eliminated in the second round of Tianyuan battle and the first jihad. However, after losing the second round of the first rookie championship, Zhao Zhixun advanced to the semi-finals of the 20th premier cup and won the right to participate in the final of the throne. In the final, he beat Dazhu hero 2-1 and won the first throne title. He also won the right to challenge the 15th ten stage war, though he lost to Sakata Rongnan. In this year, Zhao Zhixun won a career high 46 victories and won the award of Muhu magazine, although he also lost 18 games.
Zhao Zhixun's performance in 1977 was rather bleak. He was eliminated in the 2nd masters and the preliminaries of the 15th and 16th ten stage battles, and lost his Only Title throne in November. The rookie Wang Zhan also lost to Kobayashi.
In 1978, for Zhao Zhixun, it was a better year. He was promoted eight times in the summer and won the third place in the masters, but he still couldn't pass the 33rd edition of the benyinfang tour.
In 1979, he finally won the 34th Ben Yin Fong championship and won the title of Acer saint in August. Zhao Zhixun finished this year with the best result of his big hand cooperation.
