Qingyang Mao's genealogy in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province is a private genealogy compiled by the people, which is the most complete existing genealogy of Mao's family in Quzhou. In March 2002, the genealogy was first published as the "Chinese Archives Heritage List" by the State Archives Bureau and the central archives. According to the genealogy, "he was a guest of the plains, who made great contributions to Chu and set up a place for the princes. He entered Xingyang and later became a famous family." It is also recorded that "ZhouLing (referring to Mao Bao, the ancestor of Mao's surname in Jiangnan) was originally from Yangwu of Xingyang, and after returning to his hometown (referring to Mao Bao's grandson and returning to his hometown Gong Mao Yao), it was all from Xin'an of Sanqu.". Mao Sui is a member of the Yangwu people in Xingyang, which can be proved by genealogy. According to the Shaoshan Maos genealogy, maotaihua, the first ancestor of the Maos in Shaoshan, moved from Jishui, Jiangxi Province. Maorang, the first ancestor of the Mao family in Jishui, Jiangxi Province, moved from Quzhou, Zhejiang Province. Life of the characters
At the site of the hometown of maosui in Yuanyang, there are steles of "hometown of maosui" inscribed by Mr. Zhang Zhengzhen, director of the Institute of history, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Mr. Shi Shuqing, deputy director of China cultural relics appraisal committee, and Mr. Cao Zhaoji, researcher of China History Museum. Among them, the monument of "hometown of maosui" stands in the "self recommendation Pavilion". These experts and scholars in the field of contemporary historiography have fully affirmed that Yuanyang is the hometown of Mao Sui.
When he was young, he toured the state of Zhao. He was a diner of the prince of the state of Zhao. He had no reputation and was not known for three years. Mao Bao, the ancestor of the Mao family in Jiangnan, is the thirtieth grandson of Mao Sui, and Mao Sui is the 22nd grandson of Mao bozheng. The surname of Mao is derived from the fact that Ji Zheng granted the state of Mao, whose fiefdom is now Yuanyang County, Henan Province. Therefore, Yuanyang is not only the hometown of Mao Sui, but also the birthplace of Mao's surname.
Qing Yang Mao's genealogy, compiled in Tongzhi of Qing Dynasty (1869), is a private genealogy compiled by the people and the most complete existing genealogy of Mao's family in Quzhou. In addition, Mao Bao of Jin Dynasty, Mao Zhong of Tang Dynasty, Mao Jian of Song Dynasty and Cai Yuanpei of Republic of China all participated in the compilation of Mao's genealogy in different periods. These records in Mao's genealogy are similar to those in Qingyang's genealogy. Therefore, there is a genealogy to prove that Mao Sui is a Wuren in Xingyang.
According to the records of Shaoshan Maos genealogy, the first ancestor of Shaoshan Maos was maotaihua, who moved from Jishui, Jiangxi Province. Maorang, the first ancestor of the Mao family in Jishui, Jiangxi Province, moved from Quzhou, Zhejiang Province. According to Quzhou's textual research on the origin of Jiangshan surnames, the first ancestor of Mao's surname was Mao Bao of Yangwu people in Xingyang. Therefore, Mao Zedong is the descendant of maobao from Yuanyang.
