Life of the characters
Dispensing stall
Huang Chujiu is a native of Yuyao, Zhejiang Province. His ancestors practiced medicine. When he came to Shanghai at the age of 16, he carried a medicine book uploaded by his ancestors in his bag.
In those days, before the spring and autumn building in Town God's Temple, Huang Chujiu put up a medicine stand and sold pills according to the drug spectrum in the book. Town God's Temple is the most bustling place in old Shanghai. Here, Huang Chujiu's medicine stall business is getting better and better. He loves to use his brain, and gradually he has come to realize the way of managing by surprise.
This brand of Medicine
Later, Huang Chujiu borrowed money to open the first Sino French pharmacy, which also sold Chinese and Western medicines. At the age of 32, he finally launched his first brand of Medicine - "ELO brain tonic". Huang Chujiu's brilliance lies in his understanding of the patient's psychology. He emphasizes that "ELO's brain tonifying" can grow wisdom and eliminate all kinds of diseases, which makes many people excited. Huang Chujiu's success lies in the western style packaging of traditional Chinese medicine. In the past, when you bought medicine from a traditional Chinese medicine shop and fried it by yourself or in the pharmacy, the "arrow brain" fried it for you and packed it in a bottle. You don't need to take it back and fry it again. This is very convenient for promoting sales. "Ai Luo Bu Nao" is selling surprisingly well. Huang Chujiu's Chinese and French pharmacies are very popular, and the sales are constantly rising. It's really a struggle for money every day.
Dragon Tiger human pill
At the beginning of the 20th century, Japan dumped a large number of goods in China, attacked Chinese national industry and commerce, and plundered Chinese people's money. In 1907, the Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce sent a telegram to the whole country calling for the Anti Japanese patriotic movement to boycott Japanese goods, which was echoed by business circles all over the country. However, only Japan's Rendan still dominates China's urban and rural areas, and the posters of Rendan with moustaches can be seen everywhere. Huang Chujiu was indignant at this little Rendan's rampant behavior in China. In 1909, Huang Chujiu got an ancient prescription of "ZHUGE Xingjun powder". At the same time, referring to his ancestral "Seventy two disease prescription", he repeatedly developed a new prescription and made it into a small pill, named "Rendan". After the listing of dragon tiger human pill, Huang Chujiu vigorously publicized that wherever there were advertisements for Rendan, there were eye-catching advertisements for Dragon Tiger human pill to compete with.
Japan's East Asia company saw that dragon tiger human Dan posed a threat to their Rendan, so it accused Rendan of "counterfeiting" and "infringement" and asked the Chinese government to order it to stop production. Huang Chujiu hired a famous barrister in Shanghai to fight a lawsuit with Japanese businessmen. Until the appeal to the Beijing Supreme Court, in 1927, the court made a final judgment, ruling that "Rendan" and "Rendan" are irrelevant and can be sold on the market at the same time. Although Huang Chujiu lost more than 100000 yuan in the ten-year lawsuit, the reputation of "Rendan" gradually expanded and its market increased greatly. Historian evaluation: the success of this lawsuit "gives the Chinese a breath!"
Bailing machine
In 1923, Huang Chujiu launched a new drug: bailing machine. For the 100 age machine, he did not follow the conventional principle of "small profit but quick turnover", but took advantage of the customers' shopping psychology of "cheap but no good goods" and set the price on the high side. Fierce advertising is even more amazing.
It seems that everything is in Huang Chujiu's expectation, and advertising has brought him great economic benefits. Special advertising gifts of the 100 age machine have entered thousands of households; huge advertising lights flicker all night in Shanghai. In the industrial and commercial circles of that year, Huang Chujiu was a big player and winner in advertising. He does all kinds of advertising and spends a lot of money. The annual advertising cost of Sino French pharmacy is as high as 28% of the total cost. Soon, Huang Chujiu owned more than 100 of his own medicines, becoming a leader in Shanghai's national pharmaceutical industry and a famous "slippery leader" in Shanghai.
New pharmaceutical King
During this period, Huang Chujiu's pharmaceutical industry became a trust, with 21 pharmaceutical enterprises under it. With this huge Pharmaceutical Group, Huang Chujiu was firmly seated as the king of Shanghai new pharmaceutical industry. In 1927, Shanghai new pharmaceutical trade union was established, and Huang Chujiu was elected as the first chairman.
Grand World playground
But he is not satisfied with his success in the new pharmaceutical industry. He has to constantly set foot in new fields. On July 14, 1917, Shanghai grand World playground opened. This was the day Huang Chujiu personally selected. This day is the 30th anniversary of his coming to Shanghai with his mother. Today, 30 years ago, he was a poor boy. 30 years later, he will be a rich man. On that day, in front of the "big world" gate, there was a lot of music, neon lights and firecrackers. Tourists and wealth came to him like a tide.
On January 19, 1931, Huang Chujiu died of heart disease. In May of this year, the world fell into the hands of Huang Jinrong.
Character review
It seems that Huang Chujiu's rise is not like the gradual development process of ordinary entrepreneurs from small to large. Instead, with a few kinds of "wild fox Zen" so-called tonics, he immediately made a big profit and opened the Chinese and French pharmacy and the Chinese and Western pharmacy.
Huang Chujiu was originally an ophthalmologist. He figured out that the Chinese people attach importance to the brain. He thought that the brain dominates the whole body and came up with a magic way to nourish the brain. Ask someone to design a prescription, which contains the juice of phosphorus and sweet taste. He is also known as the inventor of aiyang. So ELO brain is on the market. "Arrow" is a foreign language yellow, which means Huang Chujiu's patent. He Kuxin "a cent of capital, with nine advertising.". In Shen Bao Xin Xin Xin Bao
