Duan Sui
Duan Sui (?)? - 386), the third monarch of Xiyan in the Sixteen Kingdoms period.
In 386, Murong Chong was unwilling to return to the East, leading to mutiny and death. Han Yanli, the left general, became the king of Yan and changed to Changping. Soon after, Duan Sui was the Minister of Yan's imperial family. He shot Murong Heng and the minister ordered Murong Yong to kill him. Murong Kai, the son of Murong Huan, king of Yidu, was appointed king of Yan.
Life of the characters
In the 11th year of the Taiyuan Dynasty (386), Murong Chong, Emperor Wei of the Western Yan Dynasty, because he liked to live in Chang'an, and was afraid of the prosperity of Murong Chui, Emperor Wu of the later Yan Dynasty, so he did not dare to return to the East. He urged farming, built palaces, and planned to live in peace for a long time. All Xianbei people resent him. In February of the same year, Han Yan, the left general, complied with the discontent of the public, attacked Murong Chong and killed him. He Yongli duansui was the king of Xiyan and changed his name to Changping. Duan Sui was not a member of the Murong clan, and his prestige and influence were not enough to frighten the Ministry. Therefore, in March of the same year, Murong Heng and Murong Yong, representatives of the clan forces, launched a coup and gathered 50000 troops to kill Duan Sui. Murongyi, the son of Murong Huan, king of Yidu, was appointed king of Yan.
