Xiao Zhuoji

Xiao Zhuoji (December 4, 1933 - November 14, 2017), born in Shantou, Guangdong Province, is a famous economist and social activist. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the school of economics of Peking University. He has written 16 monographs, including biography of Marx, biography of Engels, selected works of Xiao Zhuoji, and on stocks. He is also the chief editor of China's economic construction and reform of economic system, stock economics, and Chinese Journal of economics He has published hundreds of papers in journals at home and abroad such as journal of Peking University, economic research, economic science, people's daily and Lianhe Zaobao. It is a milestone in the history of the world's Marxist research that one person independently completes the academic biographies of the two great revolutionary tutors. Xiao Zhuoji's research on Marxism is both unswerving and advancing with the times. In the preface to the second edition of the biography of Marx, he wrote: "for a long time, it was generally believed that Marx's economic theory was out of date.
