Although Liu Zhun was the emperor in name, his power was controlled by Xiao Daocheng.
Forced to meditate
In 479, Xiao Daocheng asked Liu Zhun to take the throne and sent Wang Jingze, the Minister of the Imperial Palace, to lead his troops into the palace. Liu Zhun said: "I wish I would never have an imperial family again". In one sentence, he expressed his sorrow as the last emperor. On April 16 of the same year, Liu Zhun and Xiao Daocheng, the regime of Liu Song came to an end, and Liu Song's clansmen were all imprisoned to death.
He was killed
After Xiao Daocheng ascended the throne, he granted Liu Zhun the title of Ruyin king. He did not accept the courtesy of the monarch and his officials. The petition was not called Shangbiao, and the reply was not called Xiazhao. Moved to Danyang (a Danyang Palace) and sent troops to supervise. On May 6, 479, the first year of Jianyuan (479), the soldiers who watched Liu Zhun heard the noise of horses outside the door. They thought that there was a disturbance, so they killed Liu Zhun. Shen Yue's book of the Song Dynasty says, "the holy King's yinglu has not been inherited since he was in chaos, so the heaven can't get it. Since the third and fifth centuries, the appointed Lord has been at the end of the fall, and then he has been at the end of the fall. It has been a long time since shuideqian came to thank you. It's more than just your Yin yizen! " Li Yanshou's southern history: "the emperor's appearance is elegant, and his brows are picturesque
