Research direction

My main research direction is: urban and regional planning, land and real estate economy, infrastructure planning and construction.

Main contributions

1. I started to study the land economy in the early 1980s, and I was one of the earliest scholars engaged in land research in China (known as one of the four outstanding young scholars in the field of land economic evaluation). First of all, the theory and method of urban land economic comprehensive evaluation was put forward (which was identified by experts as filling the gap in this field in our country). Later, this method was adopted by the national "urban land grading regulations" and applied in the whole country, which has achieved great economic and social benefits. I am one of the main compilers of the national regulations on urban land appraisal and the real estate appraisal standards, which have been implemented in cities and towns all over the country. Due to my contribution, I was awarded the first prize of "land grading and evaluation" by the State Land Bureau. 2. I further studied the relationship between real estate and urban planning, real estate and national economic development, put forward policy suggestions on China's housing system reform, and made some achievements in real estate development and investment analysis. His representative works: urban planning and real estate development, comments and suggestions on China's affordable housing policy, and China's housing system reform and regional policy have been adopted by many parties. The theories and methods of real estate appraisal and investment analysis have been used as training materials by China Society of real estate appraisers and taught in many training courses for real estate appraisers. The economic theories and methods related to land appraisal is regarded as the designated teaching material for the national land appraiser qualification examination. Due to my contribution in real estate, I have been employed as a member of the previous real estate appraiser qualification examination and land appraiser qualification examination committee. Under the leadership of the Department, I actively explore the teaching work of regional economy and real estate. Firstly, we proposed and organized the enrollment of college students and on-the-job postgraduates in this aspect. We successively recruited three real estate college students and three on-the-job postgraduates. At the same time, we contacted and recruited two on-the-job master courses, which not only expanded the influence of our department in the society, but also increased the income of our department, and achieved good social and economic benefits.
