With the help of Zhao Gao and Li Si, he killed more than 20 brothers and sisters and forced Fu Su to death, and became the second emperor of the Qin Dynasty. After Qin II ascended the throne, Zhao Gao took power and carried out brutal rule, which finally aroused the uprising of Chen Sheng and Wu Guang, and the movement of restoring the country of the old nobles in the six countries. In 207 BC, Hu Hai was forced by Yan Le, Zhao Gao's confidant, to commit suicide in Wangyi Palace at the age of 24.

Hu Hai was the youngest son of the first emperor of Qin. He was ordered by the first emperor to study law from Zhongche government.
In October of the 37th year of Emperor Qinshihuang (211 BC), Emperor Qinshihuang went on a tour. Left Prime Minister Lisi followed, right Prime Minister FENG Quji stayed in the capital. Young son Hu Hai wanted to go on a cruise and asked to follow him. Qin Shihuang agreed to him. In November, I went to Yunmeng and sacrificed to Yushun in Jiuyi mountain.
Qin Shihuang fell ill when he arrived in the plain. The first emperor hated to say the word "death". The officials did not dare to say death. The emperor was even more ill, so he wrote a letter with the imperial seal to his son Fusu, saying, "come back to Xianyang to attend the funeral and bury in Xianyang." The letter had been sealed and stored in the office where Zhao Gao, the commander of the Middle East Government, was also in charge of seal affairs, but it was not given to the emissary.
In the 37th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (210 BC), he died on the platform of sand dunes. Li Si, the prime minister, thought that the emperor had passed away in other places. He was afraid that the princes and other places would take the opportunity to make an accident, so he kept it a secret and did not release the news of the funeral. The coffin was placed in a closed and ventilated warm car, accompanied by eunuchs who had been favored by the first emperor in the past. Every time they went to the right place, they offered food, and the officials played to the emperor as usual. The eunuch gave an imperial edict in the cool chariot. Only Hu Hai, Zhao Gao and five or six eunuchs who had been favored knew that the emperor was dead.
Zhao Gao used to teach Hu Hai writing and prison laws and decrees, and Hu Hai liked him very much in private. Zhao Gao secretly discussed with Hu Hai and Li Si, the prime minister, to dismantle the sealed letter given by the emperor to Fu Su. He falsely claimed that Lisi accepted the imperial edict of the first emperor in the sand dune and made Prince Hu Hai the prince. He wrote a letter to Fu Su and Meng Tian, citing their crimes and ordering them to commit suicide. Then go on, from Jingxing to Jiuyuan. Just in the summer, the emperor's body smelled in the cool car, so he ordered the officials to let them load a stone of smelly salted fish into the car, so that people could not distinguish the smell of corpse from that of fish. All the way back to Xianyang from the straight road, issued a funeral notice. When the crown prince succeeds to the throne, he is the second emperor.
In September, the first emperor was buried in Lishan. As soon as the first emperor ascended the throne, he managed Lishan. After the unification of the world, he sent more than 700000 apprentices from all parts of China. He dug the ground as deep as the triple spring, poured copper water, filled the gap, put the coffin in, built temples, set up 100 official positions, and brought in the rare artifacts, precious stones and so on. Order the craftsman to make bow and arrow controlled by the mechanism. If someone digs a tomb, he can be shot as soon as he approaches. The rivers and seas are made of mercury, which are poured and transported by machines. The top wall is equipped with astronomical images and the bottom is equipped with geographical figures. It is estimated that the torch made from the oil of giant salamander will not go out for a long time. II said: "the first emperor after the palace concubines have no children, it is not appropriate to let them out." They ordered all these people to be buried. Many people died. After the burial, some people say that the craftsmen made the machinery. They all know that the treasures in the tomb are numerous and valuable, which will inevitably leak out. After the grand funeral, when all the treasures had been hidden, the middle door of the graveyard was closed, and the outermost door of the graveyard was put down. All the craftsmen were sealed inside, and no one came out again. Plants are planted on the tomb, which looks like a mountain from the outside.

eunuch who conspired with Li Si to influence the succession to the First Emperor
Hu Hai killed his elder brother Fusu before he ascended the throne of God. Hu Hai, Zhao Gao and Li Si forged an imperial edict together and sent it to Fusu and Mengtian, who were guarding the northern border. The fake imperial edict denounced Fusu and Mengtian for more than ten years. On the contrary, they repeatedly denounced the government. Fu Su was even more bitter about not being able to return to the capital to be the crown prince, so he committed suicide by giving him a sword. If Meng Tian didn't persuade Fu Su, he was unfaithful to the emperor and killed himself.
After hearing the imperial edict, Fusu wept and wanted to commit suicide. After all, Meng Tian had more experience than him. He advised him to appeal to the emperor. If it was true, it would not be too late to commit suicide again. But Fusu said, "my father asked me to die. What else can I appeal to?" Then he killed himself in tears. However, Meng Tian argued and refused to commit suicide. When the emissary saw that he did not obey the imperial edict, he threw him into the prison of Yangzhou (zichangbei, Shaanxi Province).
After Hu Hai became emperor, he was cruel to many other brothers and sisters. In Xianyang, the commercial district of an ancient city, he executed twelve brothers. Another time in du you (today's Xianyang East, Shaanxi Province), six brothers and ten sisters were run over to death, and the execution scene was appalling. Jiang Lu and other three were also Hu Hai's brothers, and they were forced to commit suicide in the end. The three of them were more calm than the other brothers. Hu Hai couldn't find any charges to frame them, so he locked them in the palace. After many other brothers were killed, Zhao Gaopai forced them to commit suicide and told them, "we have no fault with the etiquette in the palace. We didn't violate the etiquette system stipulated by the imperial court, and we didn't make any mistakes. Why do we say that we are not loyal ministers of the country, but we have to make our own decisions? " The bearer replied, "I don't know why you were convicted and executed. I'm just following orders." Jiang Lu and his three brothers wept and finally committed suicide with a sword. Among Hu Hai's brothers, the one who died with a better reputation was Gongzi Gao. As he watched his brothers and sisters one by one be persecuted and killed by Hu Hai, he knew that he was doomed. But the escape will affect the family, so determined to use their own death to protect the safety of the family. He wrote to Hu Hai, saying that he was willing to bury his father in Lishan. Hu Hai was very happy and gave him 100000 yuan.

In addition to his brothers and sisters, Hu Hai did not let go of other disobedient ministers. The first persecution was Mengtian brothers. At first, Hu Hai wanted to continue to use them. But Zhao Gao was afraid that they would pose a threat to him, so he told Hu Hai that Qin Shihuang wanted to make Hu Hai prince, but Meng Yi, Meng Tian's brother, tried his best to stop him. Then Qin Shihuang gave up the idea of making him prince. Hu Hai believed it, not only did he not release Meng Tian, but also imprisoned Meng Yi in the prison of Daijun (northeast of Yuxian County, Hebei Province). Later, Hu Hai sent messengers to force Meng Yi to commit suicide. Then he sent messengers to the prison of Yangzhou to force Meng Tian to commit suicide. Meng Tian refused to see Hu Hai and asked him to take back the edict. The messengers refused. Seeing that he had no hope of survival, Meng Tian had to take poison to commit suicide.
Hu Hai, instigated by Zhao Gao, also killed other ministers. Feng Quji, the right prime minister, and Feng Jie, the general, killed themselves to avoid humiliation. At the same time of killing the minister, Zhao Gao put his cronies in one by one. His brother Zhao Cheng became the official of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and his son-in-law became the county magistrate of the capital Xianyang. They were all important positions, and other important positions in the court were all over Zhao Gao's party. Hu Hai only knew that he was enjoying himself, and he was unprepared for Zhao Gao's conspiracy, and finally died in Zhao Gao's hands.
After killing many ministers in the court, Zhao Gao was not satisfied. He also looked for opportunities to instigate Hu hai to poison local officials. In the second year of Hu Hai's accession to the throne, that is, at the beginning of 209 BC, Hu Hai followed the example of his father, Qin Shihuang, and also traveled around the world. South to Kuaiji (Shaoxing, Zhejiang), north to Jieshi (Changli, Hebei), and finally from Liaodong (Liaoyang, Liaoning) back to Xianyang. During the tour, Zhao Gao insidiously said to Hu Hai, "Your Majesty should take the opportunity to build up your prestige and kill those officials who don't listen. Only in this way can you have the supreme prestige." Hu Hai didn't ask for anything, so he ordered to kill the dissidents, which made the ministers panic. Zhao Gao actually took the young Hu Hai as a tool to expand his power.
After sitting on the throne of God, Hu Hai wanted to enjoy his whole life. Once he said to Zhao Gao, "a man's whole life is like a white horse passing through a gap. Being an emperor, I want to enjoy myself wholeheartedly. What do you think, Ai Qing?" This is exactly in line with Zhao Gao's mind. From then on, he flattered Hu hai to enjoy himself, and boldly monopolized himself.
With Zhao Gao's support, Hu Hai was not at ease, and asked Li Si how to enjoy himself for a long time. He said to Li Si: "I heard Han Fei say that when Yao governed the world, the house was made of thatch, the rice was made of wild vegetable soup, the deer skin was wrapped in winter to keep out the cold, and the hemp clothes were worn in summer. When Dayu came to harness the flood, he was so tired that he lost flesh on his thighs and hair on his legs, and finally died in a foreign land. Is it their original intention to be emperors? Poor life is probably advocated by those poor scholars, not what the emperors and sages hope. Now that we have the world, we need to satisfy our desire with the things in the world. This is the rich world! If you don't have any advantages, how can you manage the world well? I just want to enjoy the world forever. Ai Qing, do you have any good idea? "
Li Si was afraid that Hu Hai would listen to Zhao Gao and fall out of favor,
