Shortly after her marriage, Chen Jieru went back with her husband to Fenghua's hometown to worship her ancestors, and met Jiang's ex-wife, the Mao family. Jiang then accompanied Chen around his hometown, and they became more and more affectionate.
In August 1927, Chen Jieru left Shanghai for the United States; in 1933, Chen Jieru returned to Shanghai. When she went to the United States, Chen Jieru left her adopted daughter to her mother. Life of the characters
Chen Jieru was the wife of Chiang Kai Shek and Song Meiling before their marriage. She was also another partner after Mao Fumei and Yao Yecheng. Chiang Kai Shek married Chen Jieru in 1922, divorced in 1927, and lived together for six years. There is a saying that Chen Jieru was born in Suzhou, lived in Shanghai since childhood, had a secondary education, could speak Russian, worked as a primary school teacher, worked as a nurse, and worked as a senior Geisha in changsantangzi. There is no way to check his family background, but from the incident of becoming a Geisha, we can infer that his family must have difficulties, either very poor, or rich family first, and then family decline. Chang San Tang Zi belongs to a high-class brothel. The rules of the brothel are very strict, and the requirements for girls are very high. They not only need to be beautiful, but also need to know how to spend money on entertainment. They also need to master the skills of playing and singing, that is, both color and art. Chen Jieru is tall, big eyes, high nose, beautiful, modest, and good at playing chess. She has a certain degree of culture and education. She is also popular among brothel girls.
According to Chen Jieru's memoirs, Chen Jieru's birthplace is Zhenhai, commonly known as Ningbo, and her infant name is a Feng. Her father is a paper merchant, and he manages many real estate handicrafts. Her mother is from Suzhou, surnamed Wu. Chen Jieru's mother gave her sex education earlier, which made her be careful of men and keep her virginity. Chen Jieru keeps her mother's words in mind. Therefore, the saying that she is a prostitute is not tenable. In the past, it was believed that Chiang Kai Shek had not made his fortune in the early 1920s, but just wandered in the rivers and lakes. Besides making money, I stroll around changsantangzi to seek entertainment and fill the void of body and mind. There, I met Chen Jieru. It seems that this statement is not well founded. According to the Memoirs of Chen Jieru, Chiang Kai Shek met Chen Jieru at Zhang Jingjiang's home. Because Chen Jieru's good friend Zhu Yimin married Zhang Jingjiang as a sequel, Chen Jieru often visited her. One day in the summer vacation of 1919, Sun Yat Sen, Chiang Kai Shek and Dai Jitao visited Zhang Jingjiang, where Chen Jieru met Chiang Kai Shek for the first time. Chen Jieru was only 13 years old. Chiang Kai Shek was very interested in Chen Jieru. He waited for her at the gate of Zhangjia and asked for her address so that he could visit her. Chen Jieru deliberately said his address wrong, but Jiang is a scheming man, actually found Chen's home. Under the intervention of Chen Jieru's mother, Chiang Kai Shek failed to make friends with Chen Jieru. Perhaps because of his association with his first marriage at the age of 14, Chiang Kai Shek fell in love with Chen at first sight. Once he met in Zhangjia, Chiang Kai Shek forced Chen Jieru to make a statement. Chen finally agreed to go out with Jiang, but on his first date, Jiang took him to a packed hotel room. Chen was very scared and ran away. After that, Jiang kept calling Chen, which made her uneasy. Chiang Kai Shek told Chen Jieru about his wife and concubine and vowed never to be ungrateful. Chiang Kai Shek said, "I will use my blood to write you an oath of everlasting love." Chen Jieru was so scared that she cried out: "please put that knife down! I believe you, as long as you put down the knife! " In this way, Chen Jieru gave up her heart to Chiang Kai Shek.
Chen Jieru's mother thought that she should do her duty as a mother and follow the normal ceremony to complete Chen Jieru's wedding event, so the engagement ceremony was held first. Jiang and Chen exchanged gifts. In addition, the eight characters of the birthday and other items of the two engaged parties were filled in the exquisite red post. This made Chiang Kai Shek and Chen Jieru one, and they could not repent. On the day after their engagement, they were sitting in a chocolate shop on Nanjing road eating snacks. Chiang Kai Shek said to Chen Jieru, "Chen Feng is your nickname. It should only be used by your mother. According to Chinese etiquette, it's not appropriate to call a friend a nickname. So I've chosen a new name for you, and I think it suits your character. The name "clean as" means "as pure" or "as unpolluted by the world.". In my opinion, you are pure. Do you like it? Look here! "He opened a paper bag and took out a picture of himself, in which the word" Chen Jieru "was prominently written on his left side.
Jiang Chen's wedding ceremony was held on December 5, 1921 in the dining room of Dadong Hotel, Yong'an building, Shanghai. At that time, it was one of the most common places to hold a formal wedding ceremony. Jiang Chen's wedding is half western and half Chinese. Chiang Kai Shek gave Chen Jieru a postcard sized Kodak camera. Chen Jieru gave him a Waltham brand gold pocket watch with a gold chain. Instead of white or red satin, Chen adopted a light pink wedding dress inlaid with honeysuckle; she wore a pearl headdress on her hair. Chiang Kai Shek wore a dark blue robe and a black satin mandarin jacket. The wedding hall is decorated with colorful silk. Four big red lanterns hung across the entrance of the hall. On the roof of the hall, there are many large painted gauze lamps, and in the center of the roof there is a colorful "Kingfisher bird" chandelier. The hall is decorated with pots of flowers and green palms. According to Chen Jieru, "the wedding ceremony is divided into two parts: the first part is to use the seal on the marriage certificate to confirm this modern Chinese marriage; the ceremony is to be held at a large table at one end of the hall. The second part is to worship the ancestors of heaven and earth symbolically before the confession at the opposite end. It's midnight, and the wedding is finally over. It's time for everyone to have a rest. Chen Jieru sat in the room and did not speak. Chiang Kai Shek used to lock the door with his own hands, and then held her in his arms. Her blood seemed to thump. She could feel her heart beating hard on her chest. She stood there like a vine attached to the wall. She waited for him with her eyes half closed. He whispered to her in a happy voice, "you are my dear wife, the only one in the world! Oh dear! I will never fall in love with another woman except you. This is my solemn promise. "
On the third day after their marriage, Chiang Kai Shek and Chen Jieru went to visit Chen Jieru's mother in accordance with Chinese tradition, bringing a batch of gifts. At about 3:30 p.m., we arrived at Xikou. When she got out of the sedan chair, Chen Jieru saw a gentle woman standing in front of a large old house. Chiang Kai Shek introduced her to her that she was Mao Fumei. Chen Jieru had seen her, so she dressed up quickly, put on more formal clothes and went to the worship ceremony.
In 1922, while Chiang and Chen were on their honeymoon in Xikou, Chiang received a telegram from Sun Yat Sen asking him to return to Guangzhou as soon as possible. Chen Jieru said goodbye to Mao Fumei tearfully and went to Shanghai by boat with Chiang Kai Shek. In Shanghai, Chen Jieru met Jiang Jingguo for the first time. Therefore, Jiang Jingguo called Chen Jieru "Shanghai mother". When Jiang Jingguo was in his teens, he went to Shanghai with Jiang Weiguo
