If you abandon the army and go alone, that little Pavilion leader will catch you. It's better to lead the army westward to attack Chang'an and avenge Dong Gong. If things succeed, we can serve our country to rectify the world. If we don't succeed, it's not too late to go any further. " Li Yu and others took Jia Xu's advice and said everywhere: "the imperial court will not forgive us, we should fight to the death. If we conquer Chang'an, we will have the whole world; if we can't, we will rob the women's property of Sanfu and go back to our hometown in the West. We can also protect our lives. " His subordinates responded one after another, so they formed an alliance with Guo Si and Zhang Ji and led thousands of troops to attack Chang'an day and night. In the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Zhang Ji is similar to the official history. He was Dong Zhuo's subordinate. When the 18 road princes were fighting for Dong, he guarded hulaoguan with Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu. After Dong Zhuo moved his capital to Chang'an, he also guarded zhuowu with Li Yu. After Dong Zhuo was killed, Zhang Ji and others fled to Shaanxi. Because they could not be pardoned, they adopted Jia Xuzhi's plan to gather troops to attack Chang'an, defeat Lv Bu, kill Wang Yun, occupy Chang'an and control the government. Because fan Hou defeated Ma Teng and Han Sui, he let Han Sui go, so he held a banquet to kill him. Zhang Ji was afraid and took over fan Hou's troops. He went out to settle in Hongnong. Later, Xiandi used Yang Biao's strategy to alienate Li Xi and Guo Si. They led troops to attack each other, and then hijacked Xiandi and Gongqing respectively. Zhang Ji and his soldiers came to make peace. They stopped and sent Xiandi back to the East. Soon they repented and joined forces to pursue Xiandi. They fought with Yang Feng and Dong Cheng for several times. Finally, they were repulsed by Cao Cao, who came here. Xiandi was welcomed to Xudu by Cao Cao. Zhang Ji later led his troops from Guanzhong to Jingzhou, attacked Nanyang, and died. His nephew Zhang Xiu took over the army and united with Liu Biao to settle in Wancheng.
