Yangxia
In summer, it belonged to Yuzhou and Gedi in early summer. "Zuo Zhuan" Du Yu notes: "Ge between Zheng and song, that is, today's Taikang area." Later, Taikang, the king of Xia, moved his capital here, so it was called Yangxia. After his death, he was buried here. People also called Yangxia Taikang because of it. The name of Taikang county came from this. Taikang county was first set up in 587, the seventh year of kaihuang reign of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty. After generations of vicissitudes, though its subordinate system has changed, it is always Chen (Huaiyang) and Bian (Kaifeng).

During the Qin and Han Dynasties, Yangxia was a famous city in the Central Plains and a place where military strategists fought. At the end of the Qin Dynasty, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang launched a peasant uprising in daze township. Wu Guang was born in Yangxia (today's Taikang, Henan Province). During the battle between Chu and Han Dynasty, Xiang Yu wanted the mother of the royal mausoleum to persuade the mausoleum to unite with Chu to fight against Han Dynasty in Yangxia. The mother of the mausoleum committed suicide in Yangxia city in order to let her son belong to Liu Bang. From then on, the mausoleum was loyal to Liu Bang. After Liu Xiang's confrontation, Liu Bang attacked Xiang Yu, defeated and retreated to Yangxia city. Later, Xiang Yu captured Yangxia city.

Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, it has been subordinate to Huaiyang, Shangqiu and Kaifeng. It was changed to Zhoukou area in 1965 and Zhoukou City on August 2, 2000. Taikang county is the seat of county administration in all dynasties, which has a history of more than 2000 years. Since the Republic of China, it has been listed as a first-class county. Taikang county has Yangxia Road, a Yangxia primary school and a Yangxia garden.
