Xu Hong
Xu Hong, born on December 25, 1943 in Jianyang County, Fujian Province, holds a Bachelor of Arts, a master of Arts and a doctor of national literature in the Department of history, Taiwan University. He is now an honorary professor of Jinan International University, a lecture professor of History College of Nankai University, a lifelong lecture professor of Xiamen University, an adjunct professor of Jilin Normal University, an executive supervisor of China Ming Dynasty Research Association and a member of China economic history research. He was professor and head of the History Department of Taiwan University, founding director of the Institute of art history, Professor of history of Hong Kong University of science and technology, founding director of the literature department and acting Dean of the school of Humanities and Social Sciences, founding director, provost and acting president of the History Department of Jinan International University, Professor of History Department of Soochow University, full-time professor of History Department of Xiamen University, Minnan Normal University Professor of Southern Academy of cultural studies, chairman of China Ming Dynasty Research Association, academic member of Institute of history and language of Academia Sinica, visiting researcher of Ming Dynasty History Research Office of Institute of history of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and founding chairman of China Fengyuan society. He has published more than 90 books and papers on salt industry in Ming and Qing Dynasties, social ethos in Ming and Qing Dynasties, marriage and family in Ming Dynasty, domestic immigrants, cities in Ming Dynasty, natural disasters in Taiwan in Qing Dynasty, and historiography in Ming and Qing Dynasties, 120 kinds of literature discussed in academic conferences, more than 30 academic reviews and more than 30 popular historical books, and his recent works are "Research on Ming history in 20th century China" (2012), "he Bingdi's book" history of Ming Dynasty " On the social history of Ming and Qing Dynasties (2013), on the importance of Qing Dynasty in Chinese history by he Bingdi (2014), the dispute over Hedong Salt Market Area in Ming Dynasty (2015), the debate on new Qing Dynasty history: starting from the debate between he Bingdi and Luo Youzhi (2016), and the proofreading and annotation of Renxuan Zhizhi (2016).
