Shen Cheng
Shen Cheng (1929-2004) was named Yongtao, another name chishanzi, and was born in Jurong, Jiangsu Province. Graduated from Tianjin Academy of fine arts. He has successively served as the head of Yuxian culture troupe, fine arts of Yuxian newspaper, director of Yuxian Culture Museum, vice chairman of Yuxian Federation of literary and art circles, chairman of Yuxian Art Association, part-time associate professor of Fine Arts Department of Zhangjiakou Teachers College, honorary president of Zhangjiakou Zhongshan painting and calligraphy society, consultant of Zhangjiakou Artists Association, and director of Zhangjiakou Calligraphers Association.
He is a member of Hebei Calligrapher Association and Hebei Artists Association. Good at landscape, flowers and birds. His works are still and moving, gathering and dispersing, surplus and emptiness, and natural. Therefore, they are well received by critics and painters at home and abroad, and have won awards in various international and domestic large-scale exhibitions. In the 1970s, Shen Cheng held a solo exhibition in the China Art Museum. Zhangjiakou's figures like Qian zongfei, Liu shengzhan's horse, Li Enyun's donkey, Shen Cheng's landscape, Hu Guang's flowers and birds, Wang Ziliang's lotus, etc. are very influential in other provinces and cities. They have very high prices, even can't be desired. Landscape, flower and bird works have been published in various newspapers and periodicals, and included in Hebei flower and bird painting collection and Hebei hundred calligraphy collection. He was selected as one of the top 100 Chinese painting exhibitions in Hebei Province and loaded into a large collection of paintings. He has held personal art exhibitions in Zhangjiakou, Guangzhou and Fengqiao, Japan. Donated 4 Chinese paintings for the Asian Games. The works are exported to Europe, America, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
