Husheng
Hu Sheng (from January 11, 1918 to November 5, 2000), formerly known as Xiang Zhiti, pseudonym Pu Ren, bu Ren, Li Nianqing, Shen Yougu, etc., is a famous Chinese philosopher and expert in modern history. His ancestral home is Shexian County, Anhui Province. His native place is Qiantang, Zhejiang Province. He was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.
In 1982, Hu became the director of the CPC History Research Office, responsible for studying the history of the CPC and drafting the resolution on some historical issues of the party since the founding of the people's Republic of China and the new constitution of the people's Republic of China. In 1985, Hu Sheng became president of the Chinese Academy of social sciences. He was elected vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference in 1988. In 1998, Hu Sheng resigned as president of the Chinese Academy of social sciences. He died in Beijing in 2000.

Hu Sheng was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province on January 11, 1918. In 1931, when he was promoted to high school, the September 18th incident happened. The deep national crisis aroused his strong patriotic enthusiasm.
