Xiao Jun
Xiao Jun (July 3, 1907 - June 22, 1988), member of the all China Federation of literary and art circles, director of the Chinese Writers Association and Chinese writer. His original name was Liu Honglin, and his pen names were Sanlang, Tian Jun, etc. His wife is Wang defen, his ex-wife is Xiao Hong, and his illegitimate daughter is Bao Xudong.
Xiao Jun was born in xianianpangou village, Shenjiatai Town, Linghai City, Liaoning Province on July 3, 1907. Because of his poor family, he only went to primary school. He began his military career in 1925 and served as a trainee, military and martial arts assistant. Writing began in the army. In 1932, Xiao Jun formally began his literary creation in Harbin under the pseudonym of "Sanlang", and carried out literary and artistic activities together with underground CPC members and progressive youth. After nearly a year's hard work, Xiao Jun finished the novel "the countryside in August", which shows the Anti Japanese struggle of the Northeast People's revolutionary army, referring to the famous Soviet writer fajieyev's "destruction".
Life of the characters
After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, Xiao Jun has been engaged in the amateur literature and art teaching of workers and participated in the Anti Japanese national salvation movement. In 1940, he arrived in Yan'an. During his five years in Yan'an, he served as director of Yan'an Branch of all China Anti enemy Association of literary and art circles, director of Lu Xun research association, editor in chief of literary and art daily, teacher of Lu Xun art and Literature College, etc. He also participated in Yan'an Literature and Art Forum.
After the liberation of China in 1949, Xiao Jun continued to engage in the research and creation of literature and art. Peking Opera "King Wu killed Zhou", novels "mine in May" and "past times" are all his works of this period.
During the cultural revolution, Xiao Jun was persecuted and imprisoned for eight years. After smashing the gang of four, he returned to the literary world and sorted out more than 800 old poems. In 1979, Xiao Jun attended the Fourth Congress of Chinese literary and artistic workers and was elected member of the all China Federation of literary and art circles and director of the Chinese Writers Association.
On June 22, 1988, Xiao Jun died of illness.
Born in xianianpangou village, Shenjiatai Town, Linghai City, Liaoning Province, on July 3, 1907 (the 33rd year of Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty, May 23 of the lunar calendar), his mother committed suicide when she was seven months old because she couldn't bear to be beaten by her father. Xiao Jun grew up in a lack of maternal love and alienated from his father.
In 1925, he changed his name to Liu Yinfei and joined the army in Jilin Province. He entered the barracks with the dream of serving his country, but soon the darkness in the barracks disgusted him, and he began to love poetry.
In 1929, Xiao Jun wrote his first vernacular novel, cowardice 》Published in Shengjing Times in Shenyang on May 10 of that year, the novel angrily exposed the atrocities of the warlords killing soldiers.
After the September 18th Incident in 1931, he began to engage in literary creation.
In 1932, he got to know Xiao Hong, who was in trouble, and lived together.
In October 1933, he and Xiaohong published a collection of novels and essays, trek. Among them, there are six novels written by Sanlang (Xiao Jun), such as lonely chick, candlelight heart, peach colored thread, this is often the case, madman and lower class.
In 1934, the country in August was finished.
In June 1940, Xiao Jun went to Yan'an for the second time and continued to write the novel the third generation. On October 19, the "monthly meeting of literature and art" was established.
In January 1941, he founded the journal literature monthly, which was edited by Ding Ling, Shu Qun and Liu Xuewei in turn.
On May 2, 1942, Xiao Jun attended the "Yan'an Forum on literature and art" in the auditorium of the general office of the CPC Central Committee in Yangjialing, where he made a speech entitled "my views on the current problems of literature and art". The conference was presided over by Kaifeng and delivered by Chairman Mao.
In 1949, after the founding of new China, Xiao Jun served as a consultant of Beijing Opera Troupe of Fushun Mining Bureau.
He died in Beijing on June 22, 1988 at the age of 81.

Character evaluation
Li Jianwu (pseudonym Liu Xiwei), a famous literary critic and writer, wrote in the section of "the village in August" in his zuihuaji · zuihuaji 2: "destruction gives an example.
