Gao Wei, male, was born on November 15, 1937 and died on November 10, 2012. He used to be a doctoral supervisor of School of life sciences, Northeast Normal University.

brief introduction

He studied in Biology Department of Northeast Normal University in 1957 and graduated in 1962. In 1962, he studied under Professor Fu Tongsheng, a famous ornithologist, as a graduate student of zoology, majoring in bird classification and ecology. During the three-year postgraduate study, I not only learned a wealth of professional knowledge and the ability to engage in scientific research independently, but also learned the rigorous academic attitude of my tutor and the spirit of diligence and innovation for science. I also learned the truth of life from my tutor, which benefited me all my life! After three years of postgraduate study, my biggest harvest can be summarized as follows: "being a man; dialectics; thinking more; science; assiduous; methods". From thinking and professional knowledge have new improvement, and for the future work and scientific research has laid a solid foundation. After graduation in 1965, he was assigned to work in Beijing Zoo. During his five-year work in Beijing Zoo, he engaged in animal breeding and reproduction research, which enriched his professional knowledge and perceptual knowledge. From 1970 to 1978, I engaged in agricultural teaching and research for 8 years, which broadened my horizons and enriched my professional knowledge. In 1978, he was transferred back to the Department of biology of Northeast Normal University as an assistant to Professor Fu Tongsheng and engaged in teaching and scientific research. More than 40 years of teaching and research work. In terms of teaching, courses of zoology, animal ecology, special topics of ornithology and zoology, principles of animal ecology, ornithology, avian ecology, principles and methods of community ecology, and behavioral ecology are offered for undergraduate and graduate students. In terms of scientific research, he has published more than 135 papers and 28 academic monographs in academic journals at home and abroad. It has undertaken 21 national, provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, including 9 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In terms of personnel training, since 1985, it has trained 31 ecological master students and 11 doctoral students.
