Character evaluation
Wu Tianming is enthusiastic, sincere and honest. He is a man of vigorous and resolute action. What's more, he is an expert and takes good care of talents. He doesn't pretend to be so. His film style is much like Hou Hsiao Hsien of Taiwan, but it's stronger. His works are full of feelings. He's very emotional. Maybe he is out of date in technology, technique and concept, but he devotes all his emotion to every inch of film. His creative style is invisible, he does not pursue gorgeous, formal things. He is just like the stone of Taihang Mountain, which is a return to nature. At the same time, his films have a deeper connotation and depth, gentle and simple, his choice of subject matter is serious and prudent, which shows his conscience, love and sense of responsibility, and also shows his talent, cultivation and vision (comprehensive review of Zhang Yimou, Tian Zhuangzhuang and huashang.com).
