Fan Zhiyi
Fan Zhiyi, born on November 6, 1969 in Yangpu District, Shanghai, China, is a former Chinese professional male football player and coach. He once served as the captain of China's national men's football team and is now the vice president of Shanghai Football Association.
Fan Zhiyi was elected China's football player of the year for two consecutive times in 1995 and 1996, and won the Asian football player of the year in 2001. He played 90 times for the Chinese national team and scored 14 goals.
Fan Zhiyi was originally a member of Shanghai Shenhua Football Team. In 1998, he played for the Crystal Palace team of the English first Division League. He became the best player of the year and served as the captain of the team. He once played for the Hong Kong Group a league team, Hong Kong Rangers, as well as a player and coach. He once served as the technical director of the Chinese group B league team Suzhou jupusi. In 2006, Fan Zhiyi announced his retirement.
In July 2015, he was the director of Shanghai Shenhua youth training + U18 coach.
On August 17, 2018, he was suspended by the Football Association for one year for beating and abusing the referee.
On May 11, 2020, Fan Zhiyi was appointed Vice President of Shanghai Football Association.

On January 18, 1998, he and Zhang Enhua went to Britain for a 10 day trial training.
In March 1998, he went to Tottenham Tottenham for his second trial training in the English Premier League and returned home at the end of this month because he was unable to take part in the formal competition.

Teaching career
In 2003, Fan Zhiyi returned from the Scottish Premier League and began his transformation from a player to a coach. He plans to start with Shenhua team and become a player and assistant coach. No, Shanghai COSCO is an alternative. However, both teams rejected Fan Zhiyi.

After the 11th National Games, Fan Zhiyi followed his mentor Xu Genbao as the head coach of the East Asian team.

Personal life
On June 9, 2016, Fan Zhiyi married his girlfriend Zhang Mengjin, who had been in love for five years and was 17 years old. Before that, they had been in love for five years.
