Du Li
Du Li, born in Zibo City, Shandong Province on March 5, 1982, is an athlete of Chinese women's shooting team.
He started shooting training in 1994, entered Shandong Zibo sports school in 1996, Shandong provincial team in 1998 and national training team in 2002. In 2004 Athens Olympic Games, he won the 10 meter air rifle championship and the first gold medal of China in Athens Olympic Games. He won the gold medal of 50m 3x20 in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Du Li and Pang Wei were married in Baoding on November 29, 2009, becoming the first couple of Olympic champions in the sports history of new China;
On August 6, 2016, Du Li won the silver medal in the women's 10 meter air rifle event of the Rio Olympic Games; on August 12, 2016, Du Li won the bronze medal in the women's 50 meter rifle three position final. After the Olympic Games, Du Li officially announced her retirement.
Currently, she is the female rifle coach of the national shooting team and member of the Athletes Committee of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee.
Character experience
Du Li was born in Nanma Town, Yiyuan County, Zibo City, Shandong Province. She began to study amateur shooting in Yiyuan sports school in the spring of 1994. In 1996, he entered Zibo Sports School of Shandong Province at his own expense and started coach Zhou Bingbing.
In 1998, he joined the Shandong shooting team and followed coach Wang Dewen for professional shooting training. In the same year, he won the second place of women's 40 air rifle in the 19th Shandong games.
In 2002, Du Li was selected into the Chinese national team; in the same year, she won the individual runner up and team champion of the women's 10m air rifle shooting World Championships; the 3x20 individual and team champion of the women's rifle shooting Asian Games in Busan; the third place of the women's rifle 3x20 shooting World Cup in the United States; the third place of the women's 10m air rifle shooting World Cup in China.
In June 2003, Du Li took part in the gold medal of women's 10m air rifle shooting World Cup in Croatia and broke the world record with 504.9 rings; in October, she won the individual runner up of women's 10m air rifle shooting World Cup finals.
In February 2004, she won the silver medal of women's 10m air rifle in Bangkok of shooting World Cup; in August, she participated in Athens Olympic Games on behalf of Chinese team and won the gold medal of women's 10m air rifle, which was the first gold for Chinese team in Athens Olympic Games; in October, she won the gold medal of women's 10m air rifle in the final of shooting World Cup in Bangkok; in the same year, she entered the sports training school of Shandong University of technology Practice professional study.
In May 2005, Du Li won the gold medal of 10 meter air rifle in the shooting World Cup in the United States; in June, she won the gold medal of 10 meter air rifle in Milan; in August, she won the gold medal of women's 10 meter air rifle in the World Cup finals (Munich); in November, she won the gold medal of women's 10 meter air rifle in the East Asian Games.
In June 2006, Du Li won the gold medal of shooting World Cup in Milan with the advantage of 0.1 ring.
In April 2007, Du Li took the lead in the Sydney World Cup shooting competition, scoring 10.8 rings twice, and the best 103.3 rings in the final, together with 399 rings in the preliminary, and finally won the gold medal of women's 10m air rifle with 502.3.
On August 9, 2008, Du Li only won the fifth place in the women's 10m air rifle competition of the Beijing Olympic Games and failed to defend her title; on August 14, she broke the Olympic record with a total score of 690.3 and won the gold medal in the three position competition of 50m sports rifle.
In 2012, after the London Olympic Games, Du Li applied to the international shooting Federation for temporary retirement.
In January 2015, Du Li announced that she would return to the national team to start training and prepare for the Rio Olympics; in September, in the first stage of the Rio Olympics, Du Li ranked third in the total score of the 10 meter air rifle competition, successfully promoted and obtained the preliminary qualification to participate in the Rio Olympics.
On March 28, 2016, the final stage of the Rio Olympic trials was held in Beijing Shooting Gallery. In the third stage of the women's 10 meter air rifle preliminary competition, although Du Li did not perform well, she still won the second place with 132 points by virtue of the overall performance of the three stages, and won the Olympic qualification again after eight years; on August 6, Du Li won the silver medal with 207 rings in the women's 10 meter air rifle competition of the Rio Olympic Games; on August 12, Du Li won three positions in the women's 50 meter air rifle competition of the Rio Olympic Games In the competition, he won the bronze medal and officially announced his retirement after the competition.
On October 10, 2016, the final of the 2016 shooting World Cup ended in Bologna, Italy. Olympic champion Du Li performed well and won a bronze medal in the three position competition of women's 50m rifle. After the competition, Du Li made a farewell speech on her personal social platform. Perhaps, the elder of the four Olympic dynasties really wants to wave goodbye to the shooting field.
In July 2017, she was elected as the woman rifle coach of the national shooting team.
In November 2017, he was a member of the Athletes Committee of Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee.

Personal life
On December 31, 2008, Pang Wei confessed his love affair for the first time and generously expressed that he liked girls like Du Li. The love affair between Du Li and Pang Wei was officially made public. Du Li and Pang Wei were married in Baoding on November 29, 2009, becoming the first couple of Olympic champions in the sports history of new China. At 11:28 a.m. on August 8, 2010, Du Li delivered her next son by cesarean section in Jinan Qianfo Mountain hospital.

In 2006, Du Li became the image ambassador of hope project in Zibo City, Shandong Province, and set up the "Du Li fund" to help needy students.
On September 9, 2008, Du Li took part in the award ceremony of Yang Shoucheng charity fund to award gold medal athletes of Beijing Olympic Games.
On March 19, 2010, Du Li participated in the Sports Star Charity Night of China athletes Education Fund held by Millennium Hotel in Beijing.
