Sun Yunxiao

Sun Yunxiao, male, chief expert and researcher of family education of China Youth Research Center, executive vice chairman of family education professional committee of Chinese society of education, and distinguished professor of Capital Normal University. He used to be deputy director of China Youth Research Center.

He entered Qingdao Anshan Road Primary School in 1962 and Qingdao 16 middle school in 1969;

At the end of 1972, he served as the general counselor of Qingdao Sifang district children's palace;

In 1975, he served as Deputy Secretary of Qingdao Sifang District Committee of the Communist Youth League;

In October 2014, he served as the executive vice chairman of the family education committee of the Chinese society of education;

In April 2015, he officially retired from the post of deputy director of China Youth Research Center, and was employed as the chief expert and researcher of family education of China Youth Research Center;

On December 2, 2016, he was elected member of the Ninth National Committee of China Writers Association.

In January 2017, he was employed as an expert of the children's work think tank of the women's and children's Work Committee Office of the State Council;

Researcher Sun Yunxiao is an influential education expert in contemporary China. He once shocked the whole country with a contest in summer camp. His series of educational viewpoints have great influence, such as "the secret of education is true love", "education without punishment is incomplete education", "good habits create healthy personality" and so on. In 1993, Sun Yunxiao published the article contest in summer camp, which attracted the attention of all walks of life. In that year, the article was reprinted or reported by influential media such as people's daily, China National Radio, CCTV, China Education Daily and Yangcheng Evening News, which triggered a nationwide discussion on education.

In 2011, due to the earthquake in Japan, Sun Yunxiao's 1994 article "contest in summer camp" was re opened by netizens, causing discussion. According to news reports, netizens believe that the performance of Japanese youth in the earthquake is far worse than that of Chinese youth, so they believe that Sun Yunxiao was suspected of advocating Japanese youth and belittling Chinese youth. Since then, Sun Yunxiao's blog and microblog have been constantly besieged and reviled by netizens. In some forums, the topic of "whipping the corpse" has revived the controversial content more than 20 years ago. Some netizens even questioned the authenticity of the summer camp itself.

In this regard, Mr. Sun Yunxiao had to temporarily close his microblog and delete the personal attacks before re opening it. At the same time, he re published the article published in China Education Daily in 1994 on his blog to clarify. Sun Yunxiao emphasized that writing contest in summer camp is to reveal the crisis of Chinese education, not to belittle Chinese children. Sun Yunxiao responded to the questioning voice in the forum and microblog for a period of time on the Internet. He thought that young people who dare to question themselves are a kind of self-confidence. As the common memory of children in the 1980s, this cathartic emotion can be understood.

On December 10, 2020, he was proposed by the Ministry of education to be the vice chairman of the special committee for family education guidance.

Achievement and honor

In 1999, he was commended by the State Council as an educational science research expert with outstanding contributions. In 2000, she was awarded the title of "national outstanding child worker model" by the women's and children's Work Committee of the State Council. In 2008, he was selected as "China's education man of the year".
