Early experience
In 1984, when Xu Wei was 16 years old, he began to practice guitar and rock music. In April 1986, he won the first prize of duet in the first guitar competition of Xi'an. After that, he wrote his first song in his life.
At the end of 1990, he began his career as a professional guitarist after being demobilized from the army. At that time, his guitar skills were improving day by day, and he was one of the best known guitarists in Xi'an music circle.
Acting experience
In 1991, Xu Wei composed hundreds of songs such as "don't try Baby", "Kuafu", "vagrancy" and "the age of fairy tales", becoming the most prolific musician in the region.
In June 1993, Xu Wei gathered all the best musicians in Xi'an to form a flying band, including Bian Xiaolin and others. He acted as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist, and was responsible for composing lyrics and music. On December 5, Fei band and three other Xi'an bands held their first public performance in Xi'an Foreign Language Institute.
In February 1994, the band went to Chengdu for a promotional performance. After the performance, the band was interviewed by Chengdu radio station and major newspapers and magazines. Bian Xiaolin quit the band because of her personal situation. In May, the flying band was interviewed by voice magazine in Japan. In July, the band went to Yinchuan to participate in the "Northwest Rock Festival". After returning to Xi'an, the band received a live interview from Shaanxi literature and art station. At the same time, Xu Wei began to introduce western rock music as a guest on the stage. In October, Xu Wei came to Beijing with his works and signed a contract with red star production society. In November, many musicians from Beijing took part in the recording of Xu Wei's works, and soon released two days and green bird. The strong humanistic color made him a contemporary young music idol of the same level as Cui Jian, Zheng Jun and Zhang Chu.
In 1995, Tian Zhen became popular in the whole country with Xu Wei's "persistence", which was composed by lyrics and music. This song also became the most popular singing masterpiece of that year, and almost won the champion of all the charts in the mainland.
In April 1997, the first personal album "elsewhere" was officially released. Without any publicity, the album sold 500000 copies.
In January 1998, Xu Wei won the best album of the year award for his first album "somewhere else" in the audience selection of "new music magazine" of Beijing Music Station in 1997. In the same year, as the only two authors in the pop music world, Cui Jian's works and Cui Jian's were selected into the selected works of contemporary Chinese poetry by literary experts, and Wang Fei invited her to tailor the work "you" in her album "singing Tour".
In March 1999, Xu Wei rearranged and sang "Xu Wei's version" persistence ".
In November 2000, he released his second album "that year", which was jointly produced by Xu Wei and musicians. In the absence of publicity, sales reached 150000. Many friends agree that the album "that year" is the best record in the history of Chinese rock.
In 2001, he made a new album "Pisces" for Warner's leading Hua Dan Ye Bei and wrote the main song "Rainbow".
In 2002, he signed a contract with Shanghai Yifeng Music Culture Communication Co., Ltd., the mainland agency of EMI EMI EMI. In December of the same year, his third album time walking was officially released. The music style is sad, warm, comfortable and pleasant. This new album full of changes won three awards in the fourth quarter of "Chinese media Music Award" by music media professionals, and 11 nominations in the annual award nomination of "music storm list" sponsored by ray TV.
In 2003, he won 11 nominations at the third music awards ceremony, and finally won four awards including "best rock singer" and "best rock album". In June, he was the producer of Jiang Xin's fourth solo album.
In December 2004, he released his fourth personal album "every moment is brand new". One of the songs in the album "once you" is a memorial to those regretless youth. The album nominated the best album of the 5th Pepsi music awards ceremony.
On March 5, 2005, Xu Wei's "somewhere else" and "that year" and "collection of Xu Wei's 1995-2000 works" were reprinted in the "Red Star Music 10th anniversary special" re integrated by Taihe maitian. In the second edition of the album, demos of the songs of that year, such as yijiangshui, September and persistence, are also recorded.
On February 16, 2006, the cover album "on the road" was released, in which the songs were written by Xu Wei and performed by other singers, including sunny by Lao Lang, Rainbow by Ye Bei, you by Faye Wong and persistence by Tian Zhen, as well as Bluebird and two days, which were not recorded before.
At the end of 2008, four years later, Xu Wei released his fifth album love as a teenager.
In 2010, Xu Wei sang the theme song "distant sky" for the CCTV ten episode high-definition documentary "Dunhuang". On April 11, he was awarded the honor of "China's most influential musical figure in the past ten years" by the Organizing Committee at the "Mengniu yogurt music top ten year grand ceremony" held by Shenzhen Grand Theater, and the song "once you" won the top ten Golden Songs of the mainland in the past ten years. On May 2, Xu Wei and mirage band appeared at the closing ceremony of Shijiazhuang Jiahe beer festival. On December 28, Xu Wei led the band to participate in the "Meizhou first M-Zone closing ceremony". On the evening of December 31, he participated in the new year's concert of Qinghai Satellite TV and Chengdu TV urban life channel in Chengdu Happy Valley.

In April 2012, Xu Wei and his band went to Mengla County, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province for a concert with nature in the valley. In December, the new album "right now" was released.
On January 29, 2013, he officially joined Gehua lane, and officially launched Xu Wei's 2013 "at the moment" ten cities tour, which set sail in Beijing on May 17. The other nine cities are: Harbin, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Changsha, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen and Kunming.
On September 15, 2014, "live record series of concerts at this moment" was released. Since its debut in Beijing Gongti on May 17, 2013, Xu Wei has been touring concerts at this moment. In one year, he has brought the power of music and life to ten cities, and this round of touring is still going on.
On March 16, 2015, he composed and sang the song of the same name "the third pole" for the large documentary "the third pole". On May 16, the two-year "now and now" tour will be held in Beijing MasterCard center. On July 17, the single "brilliant" was released. On September 15, through JD crowdfunding, we released the "now and now Tour Concert DVD", which is divided into D9 version and Blu ray version, recording 18 tracks of Beijing closing station. Personal life
In 1998, Xu Wei got married and his wife was his comrade in arms when he joined the army. Xu Wei admitted that many of his creative inspiration came from the feelings between him and his wife. The two songs of "Hometown" and "warmth" in his second album "that year" were written for his wife.
