Peng Bisheng
Peng Bisheng (1907-1983), formerly known as Cheng Yu, was born in Huaguo village, Longxi Township, Lanshan County, Hunan Province. As a child, he entered Chucai primary school in his village, then Liuli high school, and then yueyun middle school in Changsha. In 1929, he graduated from the seventh phase of Huangpu Military Academy, and then studied in Army University and Army Research Institute. He served as platoon commander, company commander, military instructor, section chief, division chief of staff, deputy division commander, division commander and Deputy army commander of Kuomintang.
Life experience
In November of the 28th year of the Republic of China, in order to cut off the international traffic line between Guangxi and Vietnam, the Japanese aggressor army assembled three divisions and some Marines to land at Longmen port (now belonging to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) in Guangdong Province, occupied Nanning and occupied Kunlun Pass, a military important place. In mid December, the Chinese army made a frontal counterattack with the Fifth Army. At that time, Peng Bisheng was appointed deputy division commander of the 2nd division of the 5th army and head of the 1st supplementary regiment. Division commander Dai Anlan went out on business. Peng Bisheng, acting as the commander of his subordinate troops, cooperated closely with the first and 22nd divisions of honor. After more than 10 days of fierce fighting, he completely annihilated Kunlun Pass and defended the enemy. After the war, he was promoted to commander of the 49th division of the Sixth Army.
In December of 1930, the Pacific War broke out, and the Japanese invaded Myanmar. Peng Bisheng led the 49th division to move to Dali, Baoshan and Mangshi, Yunnan Province (now the administrative offices of Dehong Autonomous Prefecture and Luxi County), to protect the southwest highway and Baoshan airport, and stand by to teach Myanmar operations. In February of the next year, the Japanese army attacked northern Myanmar, and the Chinese fifth, sixth and sixty sixth armies formed an expeditionary force to enter Myanmar. In the early days, the 49th division was located in mengbang, guarding the border and waiting to attack the Japanese troops in Thailand. Later, in the battle of mantler, the Chinese army lost. The 49th division was ordered to retreat when it had little contact with the enemy in Hepang and nanquyi. In the middle of May, he crossed the Salween River (Nujiang River) and retreated to the Yunnan border.
In the autumn of the Republic of China, Peng Bisheng was appointed deputy commander of the Fifth Army, commander of the Lingdao division of Hunan Military Administrative Region, and commander of the second assault column. In July of the 33rd year of the Republic of China, the Japanese besieged Hengyang. Peng Bisheng led his troops to fight against the enemy at Huxing mountain and West Railway Station in the west of Hengyang. After the second assault column conquered the two Japanese strongholds in the suburbs, it withdrew to defend Yongzhou City. After that, he fought in Lingling, Daoxian and Ningyuan. In November, one company of the company stopped the Japanese army at xiaomukou of the blue mountain bridge; in the 34th year of the Republic of China, it was moved to Zhongshan and Hexian in Guangxi.

Peng is fond of entertainment, especially Peking Opera. The Division has Peking Opera Troupe and military band, which often perform for soldiers and residents. In the 33rd year of the Republic of China, when he returned to live in Lanshan, the troupe also came to perform.
After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, Peng Bisheng was incorporated into the first division in Chenzhou. He was appointed to the northeast as the commander of Shenyang Garrison and the first supervisor of the Northeast Xingyuan military training department. In the 36th year of the Republic of China, he became the seventh officer training head teacher directly under Xuzhou "suppression general". On the eve of the battle of Huaihai, Peng left to live in Nanjing. Peng Bisheng went to Kowloon, Hong Kong to do business in 1949, and died in 1983.
