Huang Shicheng

Huang Shicheng (1705-1776), a native of Xintian, Xinfeng County, Jiangxi Province, was named Peishan and Pingan. The disciple of Fang Bao, the founder of Tongcheng school, is well-known for his erudition and literary reputation. His grandfather Huang Yu and his father Huang wenfen were praised as "the third generation of Huang family of Xinfeng" by the literati in the county.

Life

At the age of 27, Huang Shicheng entered Junxiang to study classics and ancient prose. He was highly valued by Li Zhongqiao, the supervisor of the school, and was invited to read and test. The next year, he was selected to take the imperial examination in Beijing. After arriving in the capital, he went to the gate to accept the business because he admired Fang Bao's theory. Later, during the period of Imperial College, he was appreciated by Zhu Shi, a bachelor, and sun Jiagan, a sacrificial drinker. In the first year of Emperor Qianlong, he became a Jinshi in the second grade and was the principal of the official ritual department. Soon after, because of his mother's death, he resigned and returned to his hometown. He enjoyed lecturing in the Ming Sutra. There are 50 volumes of anthologies, 8 volumes of Jingjie, 4 volumes of ouzha, 2 volumes of Er Mu Zhi, etc. they have also compiled three county annals of Jishui, Gan county and Xinfeng, but most of them have been lost. Most of the poems and essays are about the local customs and classics, which are kind and interesting to read.

On the Taojiang River: there are many twists and turns in the water, and the edges of the boulders are protruding; the sails are swift, and the rudders are turning. in the four mountains, the sky whirls around like an indigo Nirvana; the remote peak suddenly opens, and the smoke light disappears. The clouds are blowing, and the will of heaven is just like snow; the boat is full of fire, and the cold tears are rolling down. If you look at the boat people, you will be broken in the water. If you lead the cable astringently, you will feel pity for your fingers. xiatan: I'm worried about the accumulation of rocks in the river. I've been hindering the boat and annoying the steersman for a long time. But I have to be a good hand for many years. The sound of the beach is as fast as the wind everywhere. Shangtan: I once said that it is difficult to travel in the river and lake, and sail to Chang'an day by day; even if there is a snake way into the mountain, why is it dangerous to travel in the river and lake. Taojiang theory (excerpt): in Yu Kaoyi, Taojiang is the ancient dream water, and the dream water is the ancient Pengshui. "Literature general examination" notes: "Xinfeng dream water." Then the dream water is Xinfeng water. But Pengshui is in Xinfeng. "Hanshu" notes: "south wild Pengshui, East into the lake Han." At that time, Nanye had a vast territory, including Dayu, Nankang, Shangyou, Longnan and Xinfeng. Don't you think it's birthday in Xinfeng? Is there any evidence for this? He said: Yes, it's not necessary to cite other books as evidence, but to use the annotation of Hanshu for detailed verification. "Hanshu" notes Ganxian: "Yuzhang water out of the county southwest, north into the river." Yuzhang is the present zhangshui. Its note Yudu cloud: "Lake Han water east to Pengze into the river." The Han River, the lake of Yudu, is the water of Ningdu, Ruijin, Anyuan, Shicheng and Huichang. Since Yuzhang is zhangshui, Shangyou, Dayu and Nankang will be exhausted. No one is bigger than Xinfeng River. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, in the Western Yuzhang, and Pengshui in the middle is not the water of Xinfeng? Both Yuzhang and Pengshui are not one water. The Pengshui river flows into the Han River and the Xinfeng River is now hydrated in the Yudu River, so the Pengshui river is the Xinfeng River However, Mengshui and Pengshui have their own ears because of their wrong voices. If the sound of Pengsheng in the city is like the sound of pengpeng, the dream of pengmeng will go away But why did Mengshui become famous as Taojiang? In the old annals of the city, the Jiading Bridge was noted. In the city, Zhao Shixia was renamed Taojiang. We don't know whether the name of the bridge is changed or the name of the river is changed? Now I think that the water of Xihe River should not be too big to be too small. So I said Taojiang is song Mengshui, and Mengshui is Han Pengshui.
