Schreber, M.M., male, American agronomist, weed scientist.
Profile
American agronomist and weed scientist. Born in Massachusetts on October 17, 1925. He graduated from Massachusetts State University in 1950 and received a doctorate from Cornell University in 1954. After graduation, he stayed in school to teach. In 1956, he entered the research department of the U.S. Department of agriculture as a weed scientist. In 1959, he joined Purdue University with the research department of the Ministry of agriculture as a professor of weed science. More than 100 papers have been published. He was one of the founders of the international weed society from 1982 to 1979. He has been engaged in the scientific research on the relationship between crop diseases and weeds. It has contributed to the development of weed phenology, physiology, ecology and the improvement of herbicide application technology.
