Heroic deeds
Since May 7, 1941, several Japanese troops launched a fierce attack on the Zhongtiaoshan Anti Japanese base. Under the cover of planes, artillery and other superior firepower, they launched a group charge against our position. The Zhongtiaoshan garrison rose up to resist and vowed to fight the Japanese army to the end. They beat back the enemy's crazy attacks again and again with simple infantry weapons. The two sides launched many white-edged meat shows. Japanese soldiers were dead everywhere, and I was also badly injured. At that time, heavy rain, muddy mountain roads, and the tight blockade of the Yellow River Ferry by Japanese aircraft made it impossible for our rear reinforcements to replenish ammunition quickly. On the afternoon of the 7th, the Japanese army charged continuously to break through the wangjiayaotou position of the third army, where the 12th division was located, and took the opportunity to break through the jiandihe position of the seventh division of the third army the next night to attack the headquarters of the third army and the seventh division. The front lines of the two sides were crisscrossed and scuffled into a regiment. Our army was fighting on the inside line, isolated and helpless, and gradually declined.
At that time, the 17 th army was stationed in Wenxi and Xiaxian counties. At dawn on the 9th, because Jiangyuan Avenue was cut off by the Japanese army, the 17 th army was attacked by the enemy on both sides, so they moved to Shandong, south of tonggaoluo Avenue in Xiaxian County, and continued to fight. At that time, the Japanese forces were pressing on all sides, and the situation was tense. They fought hand to hand with the enemy who had several times the superiority for three days. Unfortunately, they were captured on the 11th and escorted to Hengshui Town, Jiangxian County, Shanxi Province. During the period of detention, the Japanese puppet army threatened and lured in every possible way and held important posts. However, as a general of the country, he was determined not to change his mind. The enemy imprisoned him for more than two months. Seeing that his persuasion failed, he killed him in Hengshui town on the evening of July 16.
