The Shijiazhuang Photography Association in Hebei Province released an obituary: Comrade Ben Lanwu, a famous news photographer and former director of the Hebei branch of Xinhua News Agency, passed away on December 12, 2024 at 9:00 am in Shijiazhuang due to ineffective medical treatment
According to the introduction, Ben Lan Wusheng was born in Funing County, Hebei Province in January 1947. He joined the CPC in October 1966. From December 1963 to January 1970, he participated in revolutionary work in the Central Guard Corps and served as a soldier and member of the Central Guard Corps
From January 1970 to April 1980, Ben Lanwu served as a worker, workshop director, party branch secretary, and editor in the production workshop of Xinhua News Agency's photography department. During this period, I studied at the Photography Department of Beijing Film Academy from September 1974 to January 1976. In April 1980, Benlanwu was transferred to work at the Hebei branch, serving as a journalist, manager of the general manager's office, chief journalist, and deputy director of the office. Retired in February 2007
